Actually the girlfriend was one of the scenarios I put forth for the W's being arrested a couple of months and a few threads ago. I surmised that unless one of the boys talked to a GF there would not be any arrests in this crime as I was certain the W's would not turn on each other.

Good for her in doing the right thing. She must be a great person with her priorities in the right order and way better than JW deserves. I wish her all the best in her life.

I just looked at it. It shows AW, JW, and GW (AW's son?). What's weird are the murder charges aren't showing for GW (a mistake? - he's charged per the indictment).

There's a man listed just above AW, and he has 8 charges of murder. Is there another murderer, or is this a mistake?

Wondering about the specifics of the murders. Did all four Wagners play a part in the actual executions? Somehow I am picturing AW as doing most of the killing.

That's the question. Which we may get answers to.

Haven't posted in forever, but have quietly lurked in the background, checking in on all the cold and new cases... Beyond overjoyed to see arrests in this case! While I always believed JW was involved, possibly with his brother and/or a friend as an accomplice, I didn't expect to learn that Dad, Mom, and the Grannies were in on it - holy carp! Sick, sick family.

I'd be interested in others' views as to the "code" they adhered to during these brutal senseless murders, which appeared to be that no children were to be killed in the attacks. The waiting until HR gave birth, in my view, was not because the baby could possibly be JW's, as they spared the other 2 who were no relation to them. No. It appears that in their sick & twisted minds, they told themselves that the killing of children (including very likely being strong opponents of abortion) was a bar too low, despite the fact that they were willing to cause lifelong unimaginable trauma to these children by killing their loved ones in their presence and robbing them of a parental relationship! Or could it be that they convinced themselves that they were actually "saving" these children from something??

Regardless, there is NOTHING the R family could have done - or the Wagner's imagined that they'd done - that could ever-ever come close to justifying these acts of pure evil that the Wagner's committed against them. And yet the Wagner's saw themselves as the better people and parents of children! Wow.

How did an entire family jointly, with no descenders, dehumanize and vilify a family to a degree and level that these acts of evil vengeance were even momentarily considered to be an option? I can wrap my head around one or even two people in a family having severely warped thinking, but the whole family? Did any of them have friends outside of their family or were they isolated among themselves? And, if the latter is true, that tells me that there are some very deep dark family secrets in the Wagner family's background...

I think the region they live in may have played a part since in Appalachia family is everything. Families there are very close and children are a top priority. Children are cherished and having control of and raising them in the family unit would be placed above everything.

But people on here from that area could shed more light on this topic than I can since I am going only by what I have read.

First, I believe throughout their married life they had a sense of entitlement.

Second, Angela was dirt poor if information about her mother’s living conditions are correct. Angela made the choice many poor teens do, join the military. This is where I strongly believe the “ precision, well planned, carefully executed traits originated. I believe she was the author of the plan.

I'm wondering the same. I think if there was another arrest for the Rhoden murders, it would have been announced. And also no murder charges on there for for George (who I am presuming is AW's son?).

She is probably getting a little nervous over what she has gotten herself into. If she were my daughter she would be headed back to Alaska pronto.

If I remember right her name was Freeman prior to marriage. I can’t remember where I got that from and it may not be right.

Most of us who lived in Alaska for a long time are very good people. Those who come and go just don’t have what it takes to survive up there. When we moved in 1980 Michigan’s economy was failing. General Motors was moving jobs out and unemployment was high. We saw the writing on the wall. We were going up to find work and stay for 2 years. 35 years later I left for health reasons with 5 suitcases and 5 dogs. I have family and a homestead up there and return every summer to slowly sell what is left. But it was the best smartest decision I ever made. My kids turned out well and work hard. And I’m happily retired. My only regret is a bad back. .

Where is it said there was a marriage or that anyone came to Ohio with him?

O/T I think the feet, and "I'm a lapdog", thing must be a trait. lol Same thing with each I've had. Some folks are terrified of mine, but if given a chance, they will win you over.

After I had been around them, I couldn't believe the bad press they were getting. I suppose they are big enough to be dangerous if raised wrong. The only "danger" I ever felt around them was accidentally getting knocked down from their puppy like excitement.
My son had "religious" people visiting all the time. One time they pulled in and Hooch was in the yard. They rolled down the window asked if he would bite. My son says, I don't know for sure. Sometimes his eyes turn red and he gets real mean. They never came back...

Every member here makes an effort to be nice. Trust me we all make mistakes. And mine are HUGE. when I first came back to WS, I made the mistake of not reviewing the rules again. That mistake earned me a couple of time outs and some snarky comments. The one poster that was the most vocal, I just put on ignore and hasn’t bothered me since.

And now I really try to abide by the rules.

I wrote this not as a comparison, but as a “ we all mess up because we are human.”

The most obvious mistake I’ve seen here is:

Considering all the detailed planning it appears the Waggies did to annialate 8 Rhodens, they left a trail of breadcrumbs. I would have thought they would have destroyed everything including silencers and reference or materials used to make silencers.

Prosecutor Junk said the other day that the other arraignments would take place the week after Thanksgiving.

Wagner arraignments in Rhoden murders not expected until after Thanksgiving

They have a lot of paperwork to catch up on, including the extradition and filing of charges against GWII. That he was apprehended in KY seems to create a little more paperwork related to charges. They planned all this in advance, so they know which legal i's to dot and t's to cross. Whoever works to update the pike County jail and courts web sites has a lot of work to do.

Dudly for my part I have been speculating about her based on other members who are local to Pike County and Alaska who have heard rumors that JW and her were married and that she returned to Ohio with him and is the CI.

I should have began my posts with IF she came back to Ohio with JW and IF she is the CI then......

Is it possible they have them back in Pike County for an upcoming hearing? If so, I hope they split them back up as quickly as possible. Sounds like they discussed ways to escape and reveng according to prosecutors during th FW hearing. Scary family!

Pike routinely keeps their inmates at Ross Co. jail, but still lists them on their "currently housed inmates" list. Most of the W's and Rita Newcomb show as still being housed at other jails as they're probably keeping them separate. Those jails usually don't outline the charges, but just show them as being housed for Pike County. JMO, they will probably keep them in separate jails to prevent them communicating with each other, but they'll bring them to Pike County for hearings. They'll still show on the Pike County jail roster, though, along with their case info and charges. Hope that makes sense.

As much as they had other things planned out, they may have has a small ladder with them to get in windows. The windows open may also have been to make the bodies cool faster to alter estimated time of death or just to mess with investigators...

The shooter may not have even had to completely enter the trailer through the window. Depending where the bed was, the killer may have just had to reach in and shoot FR and HHG. The head of the bed was likely at one of the windows as a common location for the room’s closet is on the side with no windows.
