Really want to thump that attorneys head. Wonder if they moved camera front he would drape his big ole body over her.

He’s very aware of camera placement and he is doing his job. Whether we like it or not it’s part of his job.

I can’t imagine how difficult his job must seem today. But at the end of the day he goes home probably to a family, a nice house, a good meal and a comfortable bed.

Angela has 4 walls bars and a cot. The meals are high fat. High starch and processed food. Most likely it will be all she has for the rest of her life. She may be segregated.

AndvPike County is paying $30. To $40 a day for her space. She has free medical care and MIGHT have a copy of the BIBLE she so studiously lived her life by as has been claimed. It might serve as a blessed reminder of the commandment;

THOU SHALL NOT KILL

and

THOU SHALL NOT COVET THY NEIGHBORS PROPERTY.

Not a lot to look forward to, I hope she has her memories.

I would like to have your thoughts on count 22. I apologize if this was discussed before.

The Ws are indicted for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity with each other and with unidentified others including an anonymous "John Doe"

This anonymous John Doe has apparently participated, in some way, but he/she is not indicted. Why does he/she avoid prosecution? Why would the indictement make any mention of it?

Is it possible that prosecution made a deal with this John Doe to lift all charges against him/her in exchange of a testimony in court?

I thought the camera person was excellent. When she was visible I could see her pulse in her neck and see her breathing change. A couple of times I thought she was going to crack. Amazed she didn't. I almost did and I'm totally innocent.

Still can't get my mind around this horrendous murder. How could 4-6 people be involved and not one of them at some point have clarity of mind and say, "wait a minute, what are we thinking? " How could a parent not say, son, work through this, you can't throw your life away? Just so troubling to me.
Love that Leonard.

Yes, Leonard has been great throughout all this mess, from the first day. I had a feeling he would make sure to be in court every day. He may not be the most eloquent, but he's been a great advocate for all the victims. He's had to put up with a lot, more than most people could take - losing his daughter, grandkids and son-in-law while fending off LE trying to accuse his own family of murder.

As for Angela, it's unfathomable that a mother could participate and allow her family to plan and participate in such a gruesome massacre. Those people were extremely delusional and amoral, to say the least.

Yes, it's really awful how people signed those contracts and moved onto the land, improving it with homes, etc. When they missed a payment, they were evicted and all their improvements (mobile homes, outbuildings, etc.) had to remain with the property. Fred Wagner then jacked up the value of the property and "contracted" it out to a new buyer for tens of thousands $$ more. That's just wrong, but the Pike County prosecutor, court & judges allowed it.

I'm sure FW also had good relationships with all the sheriff's deputies who came out to evict her tenants. In retrospect, it's amazing she was even arrested in the Rhoden murders case. Perhaps they realized there was no way to avoid it.

My son had land and bought a modular home to put on it. They talked him into paying the little he owed on the property off with money loaned on the home. After they had had it in writing he was buying the home, and telling him he can't back out, they changed the lender and doubled the payment. He lost everything...

This may be true of some families, but I do not see this in HMR's family. If anything, I see the Rs as standing behind HMR and her choices to leave JW, and then CG, and on to date CH. Per DR's comment on HMRs pic of a very pregnant HMR, and CH; "I'm happy that my baby girl is HAPPY :) " - DR April, 2016.

You could be right.

But I think JW was abusive to HR. I cannot remember but IIRC one article stated that members of the R family said he was abusive to her.

Also she could have hidden that abuse from her parents and brothers. That happens more often than not. The woman feels that the abuse is her fault somehow and she is ashamed to tell anyone about it.

What arrogance! I had a feeling this would happen if they let her out of jail.

I doubt she does any work there. She has employees who take care of the patients. It's just a mile or so from her house, she can work remotely.

No, I think she has a very grueling schedule. Four whole patients plus that commute every day. She's leasing the facility to herself as an added bonus. She might even raise the rent on herself... a few thousand more each year sounds about right. I wonder if she misses one rent payment to herself if she'll take herself to court and evict herself. No, she'd never be that mean to herself.

"Fredericka Wagner collected a $51,738 salary in 2017 from the organization as its chairman and executive director, a 40-hour a week job, the IRS records show. Additionally, she collected another $15,000 in facility lease payments from the organization, the records show."

I believe that with FW’s help support planning and especially their arrogance they all thought they would not get caught. I think FW AWAS IN ON IT from the beginning. She is very accustomed to having her way others be damned.

And teaming her personality with Angela’s, they felt superior. They thought Sheriff Reader wasn’t intelligent enough to instill a competent investigation. I believe they thought he would believe the killings were all about a death squad from Mexico.

Their first significant mistake was grossly underestimating Sheriff Reader. He did the correct move by calling the State in to help.

That old country Sheriff knew in short order the killers were local, and the only MEXICAN association MIGHT BE the “special Walmart shoes” which may have been made in Mexico

The plan to hurt or kill members of LE was a aCYA.

As they sat together not one of them thought they might get caught. If they had thought it through, we’d be hearing about a plan to get out of the Country.

are people allowed to wear those 'justice for rhodens' shirts in front of the jury once trials start?

No, they won't allow it.

I don't think that medical care is free. One of my clients who is an administrative deputy in the billing department for my county told me once that the county charges the prisoners for any treatment. Six dollars for one aspirin IIRC. They also charge for Dr. visits and medications that are required to be given by a Dr.'s prescription. The inmate has to pay from an account in which family or friends put money or by doing community service while in jail or the county sends them a bill after they get out. The deputy said that the county actively pursues that money even to the length of small claims court.

It may be different in Ohio though.

Snipped by me.
To me hes making her look guilty. He picked his profession so really no sympathy if his job is hard.

That's heartbreaking, just heartbreaking. How can that happen after he had signed. I really feel for your son Dudley and you.
My son worked so hard to buy a 4 bedroomed house on mortgage because his girlfriend loved it. They married but 5 years later she left because she wanted to travel. Rather than sell the home so she could have her share we offered to pay to buy her out. It caused much heartache her leaving and even more to think of how much time and money he had spent decorating and modernising.

I was furious what she had done but never thought of doing anything like murder. Just hit me today, sort of what if.

Count 22 for Angela Wagner applies from Jan 1, 2016 to November 12, 2018. That's well before the murders and right up to the day they were all arrested. It includes all the W's and Rita Newcomb, John Doe and any other unidentified or unknown individuals, the latter being a "catch-all" description that allows them to include other participants they may later discover.

The pattern of corrupt activity includes: Aggravated Murder, Aggravated Burglary, Unlawful Possession of a Dangerous Ordnance, Tampering with Evidence and Obstructing Justice, plus everything in Counts 1 thru 21. The indictment uses the qualifier and/or for these activities, meaning some could be guilty of one or all of these.

IANAL, but John Doe could be (1) a person they haven't yet identified, but know was involved in planning and executing these offenses or (2) a confidential source who participated in some of the planning, etc. and helped LE by recording or relating what was said in some of their "planning meetings".

The indictments mention John Doe because he will probably be part of the trials in some way, either via witness testimony, affadavit, etc. If he's a real person and known to LE, it could be someone who cut a deal with prosecutors and whose identity they want to protect for now.

I'm probably wrong on this, but its the best I can come up with.
