Possibility he knows someone that leaked info to him that shouldn't have. Also possible he is getting flack from customers due to some of this and that was an easy out to satisfy those that support his business.I can't help but be skeptical of Jeff Ruby. How would he know what "complex developments" are occurring? LE has no reason to update him or keep him abreast of anything. He's just a restaurant owner and sometimes philanthropist. Eh, what do I know...

I haven't sat down and listened to the 911 call, just whatever I saw on TV, so I don't independently know if "please don't hurt me" was said. Could it have been "Please hurry!" instead?
She didn't say "I need help Jessie." She said, "I need a deputy."
I'm interested in the fact that "et all" is added to CR's name for the properties. Is it in a trust of some sort? Who is/are the "et all?"

This wasn't a public shooting. It's completely different than those examples. There were many, many witnesses to those crimes, apparently none to this one....
More nuance:
Dear AG and other one : Suspects in public shootings are typically captured within days, if not hours. One example: After six people were killed in February in Kalamazoo, Michigan, police quickly arrested Uber driver Jason Dalton. He awaits trial on six counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder. Then there was last year's rampage in San Bernardino, California, that left 14 dead. Within hours, police shot and killed Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, a married couple believed to be terrorists.

With recent complex criminal developments in Pike Co case, we are withdrawing our reward and involvement. Grieving and praying for family.

http://wdtn.com/2016/04/25/hundreds-of-marijuana-plants-found-at-pike-county-murder-scenes/Jeff Ruby, a Cincinnati-area businessman offered a $25,000 reward for details leading to those responsible. If that can lead to the capture and conviction of the person responsible, it will be the best money I ever spent, Ruby told NBC4.
Ruby says the fact that investigators found evidence of marijuana at the scene doesnt change his commitment to the reward money. Do we still want those people on the loose? Ruby asked aloud. Would you want them on the loose? We want to get them in jail and et them the death penalty and whether those people were growing marijuana or not it doesnt matter.
Weird, that sounds like more than the grow operations.
Lets try looking very seriously for clues that would lead to arrests!Maybe surveying is a better word than touring
