Was hoping for some good news.

Update today from local news. Confirmation from his son that he had a history of depression:

"This is really not like him, to disappear like this.
[...]
I just miss him. Like, I really - I don't know what he's going through. I wish that I did, I wish that I could be there to help him through whatever it is that he's dealing with.
[...]
One of the things that he said to me once was, 'every once in a while you just need someone to say, like, I want you here, I want you there.' And he said, if you're ever feeling that way, just come to me, and I'll be that person for you. I just wish that I could have been that person for him."

Ohhh bless his heart! It’s not his fault or responsibility. Depression is a personal “journey “ In that state of mind, it is what it is. I feel so bad for the family. However, why buy groceries? I’m not sure this is a self harm missing person. IMO

My daughter goes to Wcupa and I am taking classes there too and we first heard about this on monday when we got an email. I hope he didn’t do something to himself. This is so sad

Lots of beautiful wooded areas nearby that many people have chosen to lose their lives in. Google "Cleveland Metroparks suicides" and there are many examples. I certainly hope this is not the case.

Going off of the news report, this is the hotel at which he was staying.

Right off the highway, a pretty trafficked and developed area. Completely possible that he could have taken a rideshare or a taxi or something similar offsite to get somewhere more isolated, but it doesn't quite seem like the ideal place to go missing intentionally.

That said, nothing so far indicates foul play, so it's hard to make an argument for it.

I wonder if security footage from around the various hotels in the area might have picked something up? Lot of legwork to see if anyone's outside cameras might hold a clue, especially if they don't know which direction he might have gone in.

Weird- arrived on the 18th but didn't have reservations until days later? Bought groceries but was staying at a hotel without a kitchen in the room? It would be interesting to know what the groceries were. Were they a real purchase or a purchase to tag my last location with a credit card transaction so somebody finds me?

Good catch! Where was he, once he got there on the 18 th? Another hotel in the area? When was the receipt dated? I had assumed the groceries were for him to bring to the families...

They are really going to need surveillance camera's on this. From what I can gather ( please correct me if i'm wrong) He makes it to beachwood area on the 18th ( that is assuming the receipt is from a store in Beachwood). His car was found on the 23rd with 2 inches of snow from 2 days prior which means the car was in the parking lot on 11/21. There is still no info on where he may have been from the 18th until the 11/21. His car may not have been in the hotel parking lot on the 18th. I'm leaning more towards the 21st which is when he had reservations. So, was he alone from the 18th-21st? Where? I wonder if any of his clothes in the suitcase were worn/dirty. Could he have stayed with a friend until the 21st? Very confusing. IMO

"No transactions after the 18th"- so there was one on the 18th; that places him at the hotel area. He flew back from Florida and jumped right in the car to make a 5-6hr drive 3 days before he had reservations??? Why did he buy groceries? Too long to store groceries for dinner 4 days later.

Perhaps something happened to him in Philly? I wonder if we now have to consider that perhaps he wasn't the one who drove the car there. Video from that store and hotel lot would be nice to have.

I would think if it wasn't him driving, it was someone he knew. How would a stranger know what hotel he had reservations for?

Exactly and I am purposely not speculating, just a trying to come up with a scenario that fits the dots... A lot dots here that don't connect

Now you got me thinking @Curiousobserver . He would have to take toll booths I'm sure right? Knowing if there is video of him in that store would help determine what state they should be looking to begin with. IMO

I hope the police will consider every possibility. I jumped to one conclusion when I saw this on Facebook but now I am not so sure. The more details that come out the stranger it sounds. My spidey sense is tingling... It would make perfect sense for him to have returned from Florida and then a day or so later drive 6 hours to arrive on the 21st for dinner on the 22nd and stay a couple of days until the 25th. But that is not what the breadcrumb trail says.

I agree, and why would he go on the 18th when his parents weren't expecting him until the 22nd? What was he going to do for those few days? It's those few days that throws me off. Anything could have happened. IMO

Its entirely possible that he flew home and decided to leave/check-in early but it just seems a bit strange not to call ahead, or extend the reservation on your phone etc... This seems like an organized guy who plans ahead.
