I am assuming Reagan's father was the man the camera zoomed in on and I have to say, my heart broke at that moment. God bless her family and give them the strength they will need to get through this.

Non verbal cues from the judge were very telling. So very tragic.

He looks exhausted and devastated. I feel terrible for him, and as you stated, my heart broke for him as well. No family should ever have to endure the hell that Ghoulsby has plunged them into. This case makes me so angry. He should have STILL been in prison. Six years for his previous crimes is an absolute travesty.

I'm not blaming the victim, but how does this happen. Didn't she see him.

Even the defendant had a look on his face like the hearings and trial are all an exercise in futility since he most likely will spend the rest of his life in prison (at the very least) and he knows it.

I really don't understand this comment. How the heck would seeing him have prevented this from happening? Most likely, he snuck up on her from behind while she was about to get in her car, threatened her with a gun and then forced her into her car. She probably had no chance. The question we should be asking is why was he out on the streets in the first place?? Why was the sentence for his previous violent crime so short? Who allowed that joke of a sentence to happen??

Agree. If she did not see him, she had no chance. If she did see him, she should have turned around and gone back to the bar for an escort.

It looked like he kept looking over at her dad also. Could've been anyone obviously but as he's leaving the courtroom it looked like he turned around to look at someone again. I can't even imagine the things her dad wanted to do to that man. Ugh!!!

He had a gun, though. I'm not sure what you're getting at here?

I think I have a good idea because it's probably a lot of the same things I'd like to do to that no good murdering coward piece of human waste..

One of his previous victims was interviewed. So this is the supposed attempted theft? How is it attempted if she says he stole $84 from her purse? And if he grabbed her, and had a gun, why wasn't it classified as armed robbery? Sounds to me that they classified his charges to much lower than what it actually was to get him the sweat plea deal.

"She told ABC 6/FOX 28 that he grabbed her by the neck, had a gun underneath his hoodie and stole $84 from her purse."

Very well said I agree 100% on everything you said-and in this case it only took 3 months for this monster to prey on another innocent victim [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

That we know of....he could have committed earlier crimes and not been discovered as him yet. Any rapes or murders nearby in past few months?

Yes, she probably did see him---standing right beside her, with a gun in her face.

Violent sex offenders can NOT be rehabilitated. This should never have happened... never. Mandatory death sentence...

Oh, but his previous crime was 'just' attempted rape, so no big deal, .....NOT

ETA:

In its original statement, the Grove City Division of Police said Golsby had been convicted of kidnapping and rape. According to court records, Golsby was accused of kidnapping and attempted rape (though not rape), but the kidnapping charge was not pursued by prosecutors, and he pleaded guilty of robbery and attempted rape, according to court records.

That's a very good point-and I did remember in one of the things that I read someone mentioned he may be responsible for recent attacks in German Village, which is right around where he lived/her car was found..here's an article I just found on it..

Also a reference to the attacks I mentioned above possibly being connected to Golsby in this article-

"Brian Lee Golsby, 29, has been charged with aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. Police said in a Saturday morning press conference there could be a connection between Golsby, who has a criminal record, and recent attacks around the German Village area."

What a terrible tragedy! I agree with the sentiment expressed here, this guy should not have been walking the streets. What a monster.

A vibrant young woman is lost forever, and I'm sure her last moments were horrific.

Her sister's Twitter really touched and broke my heart. She calls her gee gee. Caption above a picture from when they were both still kids: "Wishing I could hold you again. We will get justice gee gee" So much love in those tweets.

<mod snip>

Totally heartbreaking. RIP Reagan.
