It doesn't say abandoned - it says the car was found. Who knows - maybe an alert person recognized it and called LE - or maybe LE found it while patrolling.

I know, but I was extrapolating from the statement. Perhaps, I read too much into it.

I just wish we would get more info. I feel like I'm sitting on the edge of my seat!

Crocus, so good to see you here. :great:

We have been like this for almost a week. The lack of information is extremely upsetting.

Thanks for the info about the found vehicle. If only we knew where to find the Russells. I"m hoping against hope they are alive, but deep down I believe that thought is somewhat irrational ..

Hi truth!

I really don't think that this couple traveled very far with him before he did something to them. What an absolutely horrible situation all the way around. So many people affected by what Littleton has done!

I'm curious if the Russell's were aware that Tiffany Brown was missing. IIRC her body was found the same day that the Russell's went missing. But Tiffany's case had to be all over local news - and surely if they knew Sam then they knew Deb Neely too. Did they see any of this on the news at all??

wow... I just watched the family plea that I had posted ((http://www.wvva.com/Global/story.asp?S=14076746 for those who missed it))

wow..

the poor father... he broke down at the end...

the sister, however, seems to think something else about what may have happened...

hmmmm...

also sister says he did not live in the basement... it was a rec room... she says he lived upstairs with his gf.

I wonder if he told his family anything about the couple, when he called home...oh, I don't feel as though they are alive, but maybe he just left them someplace, as unlikely as that seems after all this time...

I think the plea from the perps family should be done more often. If they have any emotion or fear, not to mention remorse. Bringing the perps family to the airwaves, pleading for them to turn themselves in is just an added way to bring justice to more families. Some of these guys have a heart even though the path they have chosen has gone on the wrong path. For me it is always worth a shot to bring them in.

Littleton punched out of work at 9:15 on the day Tiffany Brown's body was found under a pile of wood in the basement, and it's believed he was in some way in touch with the Russells (called? showed up on their farm?) not long after leaving work.

IIRC the news of who was a suspect in Tiffany's murder did not hit the newspaper until later or even the next day, so it's very possible Littleton reached and took the Russells before the suspect's name was made known to locals via the paper. I could swear I read somewhere that the Russells don't have a television ... I'll look.

The nephew of a missing Logan County couple said their car was found in the parking lot of a West Virginia Walmart on Tuesday evening.

Authorities told him the car was still in the Walmart parking lot, located on Greasy Ridge Road, and there was no sign of the Russells.

Police were waiting on a search warrant to process the car.

I saw that nurse beeme. Throughout the interview the father was fighting back tears and finally at the end he couldn't fight them back any longer. Heartbreaking.

As for the sister, I noticed also she was trying to say that we have not heard the full story: ".. there are too many hotheads out there coming from Ohio who want to hurt him [Littleton]. They don't care about the story, what might have happened. I want to know the truth." I'm not sure what's she's hinting at, but she also said "[Deb Neeley, Tiffany's mother] said right on TV, you'd better take him out before we do."

Article just updated. Not much new info except a photo of the Russell's car on a tow truck. It looks like they are off-loading the vehicle at a residence garage. Doesn't say where the photo was taken or if they plan on processing the car (of course they will).

Truth sleuth posted at the same time. That's the photo from the article.

He left the car in the Walmart pkg lot. They have great video security. Did he take someone else's car in the lot?

This morning around 11am he was one block from the state police bldg on a payphone. If he was going to turn himself in, he would of done so then. jmo
