It doesn't say abandoned - it says the car was found. Who knows - maybe an alert person recognized it and called LE - or maybe LE found it while patrolling.
I know, but I was extrapolating from the statement. Perhaps, I read too much into it.

I just wish we would get more info. I feel like I'm sitting on the edge of my seat!

wow... I just watched the family plea that I had posted ((http://www.wvva.com/Global/story.asp?S=14076746 for those who missed it))
wow..
the poor father... he broke down at the end...
the sister, however, seems to think something else about what may have happened...
hmmmm...
also sister says he did not live in the basement... it was a rec room... she says he lived upstairs with his gf.
Hi truth!
I really don't think that this couple traveled very far with him before he did something to them. What an absolutely horrible situation all the way around. So many people affected by what Littleton has done!
I'm curious if the Russell's were aware that Tiffany Brown was missing. IIRC her body was found the same day that the Russell's went missing. But Tiffany's case had to be all over local news - and surely if they knew Sam then they knew Deb Neely too. Did they see any of this on the news at all??
Here is the latest breaking news from WBNS-TV.

The nephew of a missing Logan County couple said their car was found in the parking lot of a West Virginia Walmart on Tuesday evening.
Authorities told him the car was still in the Walmart parking lot, located on Greasy Ridge Road, and there was no sign of the Russells.
Police were waiting on a search warrant to process the car.

The Russells' car being towed:

Article just updated. Not much new info except a photo of the Russell's car on a tow truck. It looks like they are off-loading the vehicle at a residence garage. Doesn't say where the photo was taken or if they plan on processing the car (of course they will).

Truth sleuth posted at the same time. That's the photo from the article.
He left the car in the Walmart pkg lot. They have great video security. Did he take someone else's car in the lot?
This morning around 11am he was one block from the state police bldg on a payphone. If he was going to turn himself in, he would of done so then. jmo
