You don’t have to be hospitalized to be tested for dementia.

Edited to add: other than an MRI to look at white matter changes in the brain sometimes caused by Alzheimer’s, all other tests are cognitive tests.

Very true. We simply had a series of appointments for various tests for a relative. I sat in on the first verbal one.

Poor Bobby. I haven't had a good feeling right from the start. For her family's sake, I hope her body can be recovered soon. This is a nightmare for all of them.

I'm not surprised he's in the hospital. What for, at this point, we do not know. Also, for all we know, he could be in the psychiatric ward.

He is not in the hospital being tested for dementia. Promise.

It's the skeptic in me- but this smelled from the first day, and that 'obituary' sealed the deal for me.

We're on the same page then Definitely not being tested for dementia. I've been through that with a family member- they order scans done as an outpatient, unless the person is in the hospital for a stroke, which i doubt is the case here. Cognitive tests are done with a neurologist as an outpatient as well, in the majority of cases that I am aware of.

“The best information we have is that she is in the Tennessee River,” Hartville Police Chief Larry Dordea said."

OMG, this is such a horrifying statement.
I hope they find this poor woman TODAY.

Is there video of hubby out there for us to see?
How's his body language?
Does he speak coherently?
Does he seem confused?

So far, there is nothing- not even a picture of him, which I find strange. I would think that LE would post one to see if anyone out there might have seen him with Bobby, alone, or even perhaps someone else!

Why wouldn't they even post a photo of him??

That's what I find strange, especially early on into this case- you would think they would have posted his picture, when his brother in law said he might have the beginning of dementia- if he couldn't remember details, it might have been helpful if folks might have seen him during their so called trip and could at least confirm to LE whether or not he was with someone or not. He's changed details of the story a couple of times and LE still has no answers as to where Bobby is or what happened to her

If the cancer story was true- why not a more recent photo of her? If those photos are recent, well, then something seems hinky to me as to how he could have placed her in garbage bags and tossed her into the river so easily.

I never bought the dementia story from the start. Not to mention, it was the BIL that said he might have it- I have not seen anywhere else that Philip or his sons backing this claim of the BIL.

I wonder if he was a drinker?

I honestly for some reason don't get a
nefarious vibe with this one. Maybe I just don't think it's likely that someone married to someone for 50+ years would just off them like that. I'm usually one to agree with most of you guys in suspecting foul play when likely. However, I still can't believe that basically no one suspects anything in Molly Miller's case.

Anyway regarding the obituary, I think I've read every post I don't believe anybody has mentioned the spelling of her name as 'Bobbie'. I'm not sure what to think about that.

I will be the first to admit my hinky meter has malfunctioned in a couple of previous cases. Badly!

We all get vibes and interpret them differently. That's part of what makes sleuthing so intellectually interesting. And I have to approach it intellectually or it would crush my soul sometimes.

The sheriff says a polygraph given by investigators, in Ohio, to Philip earlier this week indicated he was telling the truth about what happened that morning on the bridge.

I watch the video at your link and it mentioned that according to the polygraph LE believes his story about what happened that morning and believes that she is in the river. They didn't say anything about believing his story about how she died in the days prior. Interesting.

If his most recent story does prove to be true (and not anything more sinister), I wonder if he could still be charged with how he disposed of her body. I bet so but I haven't seen what those charges could be. Does anybody know?

I hear you about the Molly Miller case. I still feel there was more to this story. The dog not trying to get to her when she was upstairs set off my hinky meter. However, her family believed the fiance, and they claim it was a clear suicide.

Ok, so going by this article, the part about the bridge is truthful, but what about the rest of his story?
Yes, the silence on the rest says a great deal IMO.
