13-year-old accused of killing a 64-year-old woman in her Fairfax home

Officials said Sheila "Denise" Tenpenny was killed in a break-in at her Fairfax home.

The teen, who also lives in Fairfax, is charged in Hamilton County Juvenile Court with murder in the death of Sheila "Denise" Tenpenny. Authorities said in a release the teen broke into her home and killed her.

Investigators found blood stains on the bed and several bottles of cleaning supplies sitting on the table next to Tenpenny, according to the police report.

FOX19 NOW has confirmed the teen will not be tried as an adult.

Per Ohio Revised Code 2152.12, you need to be at least 14 years of age for your case to be transferred to adult court, no matter the crime

The victim, who lived alone, was found without clothes on and a pillow over her head, according to a 911 call.
