I'm in the middle of reading this court document. Its the first court document I have ever read. Wow. Just wow! He sure comes across as a child who badgers until he hears what he wants to hear. I understand where he would feel stress in that situation...but he paints a picture of himself as a responsible business man who has run into a streak of bad luck. Nothing is his fault. His mom had everything invested in the lawn business.

I can't figure out the relationship he had with his mom. He seems like a mama's boy in the court documents...but I have to believe he had mom issues at some point to end up such a predator on women. He seems so angry that he is grasping at straws to rebut everything that happened to his victim. Her stab wound would only need a band aid?!?!? Now he's a doctor. Wow. I know NONE of this is funny....but I did chuckle as I read his poppycock. I just can't believe he was advised to submit such angry ramblings to a judge.

I'm going back to reading this. He sure rambles and repeats himself....at certain points I'm impressed with his vocabulary, but definitely not his proofreading skills.

Oh boy...the "2 units of emotion instead of 10 units"....this is him trying to act like he's accepting responsibility! He completely just ruined the saying, "life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it"....I used to love that saying.

And I just laughed at loud...the part where he is a hero and has saved three lives.

I'm not a marihuana (lol) grower but I used google to get an idea of how much marihuana (lol) he was growing.

It states it was "more than 1,000 grams but less than 5,000 grams".

1,000 grams = a kilo
street value is approximately $2,000 - $5,000

In indeal growing conditions outdoors one plant can yield 500 grams.

So this is like two plants? Would this be correct?

I wonder what his mom makes of all of this. I bet she lived a life full of the extremes with him---- he takes care of her and idolizes her one second and "treats her like his father did" (aka, abused) her in the next. I think she probably had a good idea that he was not right and that he was violent. I'm not sure if her brain would allow herself to believe that he could kill. It sounds like she was probably a different kind of victim of his. I will not address the things she could have done differently, as this is about HIS wrongdoings. lol. I will leave it at that.

Lifetime of covering for him more like ... otherwise known as enabling.

I actually disagree, my husband owns a trucking company. It specifically states clean background check, because of entering/exiting ports and crossing over to Canada.

The amount of people who lie about their convictions is crazy. The amount of people who have gone through the program and have violent convictions is astounding. You will never convince me that a convicted sex offender, or a felounious assault conviction belongs behind the wheel of a vehicle that travels and encounters as many people as it does. Someone with a nonviolent offense probably would be a suitable candidate, and at some point could have better job options if they stayed out of trouble and expunged their record. Now putting a convicted sex offender in a truck is dangerous. Worley, if he got his cdl post 90 conviction, should never have been given a cdl, nor should anyone else convicted of kidnapping. Regardless of who paid for it, cdls should not be handed out to violent offenders.I'm sorry if that upsets anyone, but I do not believe anyone that commits a crime like this truly gets rehabilitation in prison, and I do not believe we do enough to deter future offenses.

I have to say that I agree with this. I know a lot of felons who turn to trucking because it is one of the few places where someone with a conviction can find work. Sure, a felony conviction may preclude certain trucking jobs, but many trucking companies that don't have sensitive freight or freight that's crossing the border are concerned only with getting a driver behind the wheel. While I do believe that people deserve second chances, I also know human nature and many people simply do not change.

I spent a decade of my life working with, studying, and advocating for truck drivers. Drivers once had an image as "knights of the highway". Now, not so much. There is a reason for this, and I have come across many drivers that I would prefer NOT to see behind the wheel. I say this as someone who has a huge range of tolerance for "unusual" people, and a huge respect of and support for individual liberty and a person's right to be different. But the rest of us should also have a right to at least some amount of security. There are some people who pose a greater risk to society than others. While the State cannot protect everyone from everything, and there are plenty of things it has no business regulating, it also has no business encouraging certain activities. I would not agree with a program that would place certain types of offenders into big trucks to travel around the country willy-nilly.

Foxfire, any thoughts after reading those files in regard to his criminal profile?

Some items that stood out to me.

(Italics and green font added by me. Bold items are bold in court documents.)

  1. "Judge Doneghy, if at this time you can not see, or refuse to see, what has taken place during this case. Then you are very blind, a bigot, very bias, or prejudice toward me. I have been unjustly stereotyped! I have been prejudicially viewed from the start by all levels of authority as being a vicious evil man. Who everyone thinks intentionally attacked an harmed a poor innocent defenseless girl."

2. "Judge Doneghy . . . you are as blind as a bat."

3. "I personally do not think of you as being BLIND."

4. Detailing RG incident: "The truck skidded to a stop. I turned off the engine. I opened my door and tried to get out but could not, my seat belt held me in place."

In other words, what a good boy am I! I wear my seat belt! I'm a rule follower! There's no way I could harm a "poor innocent defenseless girl."

Too many details like this suggest (to me) lies and a big old elaborate tall tale.

5. "It should be noted that at this point of the interview, the defendant presented as being well-versed in drugs and the drug subculture and perhaps was or is more involved in this area that he would have the court believe."

6. In the "Health/Mental" evalulation: "Mr. Worley was evasive with this officer when confronted with certain questions regarding the instant offense and his involvement with drugs. He also became overelaborative on several occasions."

See, for example, the seat belt details in #4 above.

7. "Your Honor, my family as well as myself and also 'Hundreds of people' from the community are now hoping that you will RECONSIDER your previous decision to leave me in prison."

8. "I have massive support from the community for my release. I and my family know this because of the hundreds of letters we have received."

9. "I have always had naturally good relations with women in general."

10. "NOTHING HAS TURNED OUT THE WAY THAT IT WAS SUPPOSE TO!"

I suspect this refers subconsciously to how the incident with RG went down. He was "supposed" to be able to defeat her, abduct her, harm her more than he did.

11. "HOW DOES A MAN PROTECT HIMSELF FROM A WOMANS ACCUSATIONS IN COURT ? ? ? "

Wow. Just wow.

IMO and all that.

Shall I let the 2000 case file get read and give it some time before I post the big one, 2016 warrant and inventory release?

I'm reading it. Seems fine! It's showing 27 pages and they all seem to be there. Thanks so much!

PS: I'm only at the part where he's stating he pays $480/month for car insurance. He's such a liar lying out of his lying pie hole.

I haven't read this report, yet, but I would say that if he has as many accidents as he's claiming in 1990 (something interesting to dig up would be reports from those incidents) he very well could have had insurance that expensive. In 1999/2000, my own car insurance was definitely in the $400 a month range. That was with a few speeding tickets and one at-fault accident with full coverage because my vehicle (vehical!) had a lien on it.

Does anyone know how he got caught and arrested for this 200o conviction?

Also, in that document, it stated that his family's needs do not override the purposes of felony sentencing which are to protect the public from future crime by the offender- page 26/27. EXACTLY. That. No one cares what your excuses are. This is the time you are to serve.

And I def vote for just uploading all docs as they are ready. Those who want to wait can do so. I am trying to get in as much as I can before I need to get other stuff done LOL

Oh good grief! Got the 2000 case file open - Jim Boy is still needed on the family farm? Good grief woman, kick him out and rent out his room to someone who will help you around the place! Sorry for the rant!

I just have to add: One of my favorite pastimes is driving backroads and photographing old barns and farmhouses. Doing this haunts me now. The barns. The cornfields. I whisper a few words to Sierah when I take those photos now.

Protect him??? Because he needs protection? IMO This reveals part of his reasons for abductions, torturing and killing woman. He has had some traumatizing experience with a woman that he's constantly seeking revenge or trying to replay a situation that he wished he could have did differently to the woman that "hurt" him. He is sooooo beyond messed up and if they ever release him from jail. I will be fighting with full force against it.

"A have always had naturally good relations with women in general."

I wondered how long it would take for someone to throw this one down in its entirety ... that was the cement I needed ...

JDW is one of the most isolated criminals I've ever seen connected with a case on this board. He literally has no "really close" relations with anyone but his mother and that homestead. There are psychological reasons for that - and I think we're beginning to see those in black and white.

He reminds me of my ex-husband. Definitely excused by his mother of a litany of minor transgresses over the years. Lots of financial help - though his wore more mainstream - paid for college, he had decent enough cars and was never driving a beater ... As I came to know him better and better (after we were married, of course), I noticed that nothing, nothing, nothing was ever his fault.

Three years after we divorced, I got a phone call from my family letting me know that his face was all over the news. He had been caught in a joint sting by the FBI and the State of Georgia around child exploitation, crossing state lines to molest/exploit a minor, etc.

And here, I thought he would end up physically hurting me because of things that happened in our relationship toward the end - but he ended up in prison because he wanted to let his trouser snake roam free amongst the 14-year-old gals of North Georgia. Shortly after he was convicted and sent to the penitentiary, he sued the feds and the task force who busted him for "entrapment" even though the evidence was well beyond the proof needed to convict. His handwritten lawsuit reads approximately like JDW's ... it's not fair, the game was stacked against him so how could he possibly prevail, he has an undergraduate degree, and 1 class away from his MBA, and he's perfect, and this shouldn't happen to people like him ...

So, if you're wondering why I'm kind of passionate about seeing this one through, it's because I see things in JDW that I saw over time with my ex. Is my ex-husband a murderer? I think he's capable of flash anger and acting out on that anger physically. He's never been picked up or convicted for such a thing. But I see the shades, and I wonder, if my ex had not been caught when he was how his "marital problems" would have played out beyond seeking a 14-year-old girl on CL.

Whether or not JDW was "active" during his times of "freedom" - I don't know. I think there are other victims, but the guy just seems really pathetic (and too lazy) to be really prolific, IMO. I feel like, after 26 years of stewing in the anger of "the one who got away," Sierah's presence in the wrong place at the wrong time resulted in that anger flash, that overwhelming need to seek revenge against RG ... His MO is very close, very personal, very hands-on. This is not a man who shoots someone and walks away. He gets close, uses close-range weaponry, and likely bare hands and bludgeoning devices (i.e. maybe the helmet). That is close, personal, intense, and very very very angry.
