I don't find the media silence odd. LE isn't asking for tips or info from the public.

I think they are busy and overtime busy putting all the pieces in place, dotting i's, crossing t's and checking twice to build the strongest case they can for the Prosecutor.

Further along in the slow judicial process, we will be able to see all of this. moo

Having his prints, swabs, photos of injuries taken does not necessarily mean he was in custody.

They often do this during questioning and then released.
But at the time they were doing this, LET already had knowledge of the hidden room, per the search warrants. LE is not going to say "hey buddy, we've taken your prints, swabbed you, etc., so go on home now to your creepy barn and we'll call you if we need anything else."

This was being done around 5:30PM on 7/21. I am trying to establish how long he had Sierah...the less time, the less she suffered.

so sorry! my error! I don't have the dates clear in my head.

You are right, of course, that he was in custody.

I, too, very much want to know what happened to Sierah and I hope your search for truth yields abundant results!

In my opinion, he had buried her by the time he got the LE visit at 3 am.

That still gave him some time with her.

I've been wondering this very time someone posts that they think she died at the attack site. What purpose would it serve moving the body is she was already deceased? He would have had a much better chance of not getting caught if he would have left Sierah at the attack site and just gone home. MOO

I personally do not think she died at the abduction site. After they arrested JDW for abduction, the sheriff, Roy Miller, told the public in a press conference that they have no reason to believe Sierah was dead.

I do think that JDW would have tormented her longer had the search not began so quickly. He might have felt rushed, and hurried up and murdered her before LE came around. With victims that live further away, he had time on his side.

One of my most curious questions is just that....how long did he keep her alive???? It bothers me that they never pinpointed a date/time of death. Last I knew, the coroner said she died between July 19 - July 21, which to me, seems like a long range. If there was a freezer involved, I do understand how that might make it more difficult to pinpoint.

JMO
Graphic-
What if someone was helping him?
What if he was on his motorcycle and his partner brought another vehicle to help?
What if they took her to a location that was NOT the barn?
I think the LE and FBI are so tight lipped because there are more invovled , POSSIBLY a ring of these creeps?

PS.
If an admin would please contact me that would be great. I have verified inside information that I don't want to post , but I have a VERY good reason for what I am suggesting happened .

I also considered the theory that there is a ring of these creeps. I began thinking this because Chelsea Bruck's murderer was discovered the same day they searched JDW's property. I still think it is highly coincidental that new information broke of Chelsea Bruck the same day they search JDW's place.

If you look at CBs thread his DNA matched from a theft. I haven't went back to catch up since his last court date.

Also, pg 55 of the 2016 case file, evidence receipts: evidence in the barn was being bagged and marked on

Thursday, 7/21, around 8:30 PM

Sierah was at the mercy of JW for less than 48 hrs

It would have been extremely difficult for JW to get out and transport a body or dig a hole if he was under any type of LE surveillance. This had to be done before he was initially questioned........Right?. Hopefully we dont find that they left him alone after initial questioning.
Surely LE would have just gone in his barn if they suspected her to be in Worleys custody??? Does procedure trump somebodys life being in danger, as far as LE is concerned?
No, probable cause would allow them to search the property for Sierah. They would need the warrants before they could remove anything from the property.

IMHO it's safe to say he was not released

I'm surprised that no one is out there talking about JDW childhood, classmates,co workers, X cons, employers, friends, neighbors
<modsnip>
I'm sure someone wants 10 minutes of fame. Could there be a gag order? Tabloids usually go nuts into investigations like this.......

That comment really ticked me off.

I think LE did a good job. I think the Sheriff did great in the fact that he didn't let ego get in the way of asking for help so quickly.

I think the fact that in such a small community, and the Sheriff knowing the family, that when he said that is was because it was to much to bare for him to think that she was not alive. That he still, even tho misdirected, wanted to keep hope alive.

BUT..less than 6 hours of saying this..they found her.

They had EVERY reason to believe that she was no longer alive when he said that.

IMO, this is standard LE-speak. They will not publicly say they are looking for a body unless they have incontrovertible evidence. It's always "We are hoping to bring her home safe" and "this is not a recovery effort at this time".

Mods remove if needed.....Is JDW's mom still alive? Thanks.

I am sorry, Jashrema.

I think that is just the usual politically correct thing to say when no body has been found and not much time has passed. Tho I know it felt like a lifetime to you & yours.

Somewhere there is a basic starter timeline that I think either Otto or Hatfield posted in this thread but so far I haven't been able to find it again.

I believe LE is trying to obtain information from him that only they and the killer know.

It does belong to him, property records and gift/transfer dates are somewhere in the previous threads.
