You are missing something else altogether. You state the necessary skill set to graduate from med school, such as intelligence, discipline, resilience.

However you are not mentioning what I am talking about. Someone who has a moral core, knows. right from wrong, can handle stress is a mature adult way. A man who can handle his emotions when the chips are down and life gets really hard.

I am not seeing the resilience piece you mention. He may have a high general IQ, but his emotional and social IQ are quite low.

We also see someone who cannot seem to pass his board certificate exams. This could be because he lacks the intelligence and discipline to achieve the highest level of his profession perhaps. Did he get Peter Principled, he topped out before board cert?

Or was he spiraling out of control due to emotional issues he could not handle.
I'm not missing anything, but thanks for your concern. Your opinion isn't any more valid or accurate than mine. What proof do you have regarding board certification attempts? Link?

Snippets.
''Beneath his placid demeanour, Dr. Michael McKee was allegedly a grey, throbbing muscle of anger and “resentment.”

“They were married for such a brief time,” former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer told NewsNation. “That is strange, but I think it was a deep-seated resentment and hate that just built up and finally came to this conclusion.”

'Coffindaffer added that the suspected killer had been stalking the couple for days and had staked out the home. It’s likely the suspect also obtained a passcode for the door to the posh home.'

“They had staked out the location well. It was also very clear they knew where the camera locations were because they evaded a lot of camera coverage, it would seem,” she said.''

'While friends and colleagues may have had few suspicions about McKee, his former in-laws had no doubt. Monique Tepe’s family “all expected” McKee would be busted.'

“I think what’s going to be critical for the investigators is a lot of the online search capacity, a lot, are there any recent chats? Were there any changes in the suspect’s demeanour in the last few months, last few years that could start delineating some type of frustration, revenge, outrage, jealousy, depression, anything, but usually the long-standing separation from the relationship, something had to trigger,” Halstead said.'

'Now, authorities in Ohio have 30 days to bring him to the state so proceedings can begin, according to Joey Jackson, a criminal defense attorney and CNN legal analyst. McKee’s public defender indicated to the judge that his client intends to plead not guilty in Ohio'.

''Prosecutors want to limit the information they give the public for two reasons, he said: to limit the details provided to the defense, and to preserve the integrity of witnesses’ accounts.
Jackson said he’s “not surprised” that even if investigators do know the motive, “that they’re not telling us.”

'Columbus police have not said whether McKee is believed to be the person shown in the video, and they’ve not said why they were seeking information about the person.'

'In Monique Tepe's vows to Spencer Tepe, she talks about "wrong relationships" and a "waterfall of tears." Was she talking about her ex-husband, Michael David McKee? He's now charged with shooting and killing the Ohio dentist and his wife in their Columbus home. While police have not released a motive, Investigative Reporter Anne Emerson asked forensic criminologist, Dr. Laura Pettler to take us back into the "Murder Room" to further process the crime, victimology and suspectology.'
That thick neck of his.....could it be due to 'roids?

What are the dates on which the action which a playoff is alleging malpractice? Is it around the time of the divorce or when she left him?
The first was filed in 2024. It’s available in the media thread for this case. MM was one of at least two defendants serving on the medical board of a prison, in which an inmate made an allegation about treatment. There were eight defendants. This doesn’t look like something that would cause MM any lost sleep. (I’m not a lawyer or a physician, though.)

The second malpractice case, which was a bit more personal than the first, was filed in November 2025. In this case, MM was a supervising surgeon in an operation during which something was allegedly left inside a patient. The full doc is upthread.

Did she say “wrong relationships” or “a wrong relationship” in the vows? I thought it could have been the latter, but it was not easy to tell.

The latter would have been even more of a perceived slight to MM. It’s not rational but he could have been enraged thinking “Not only did she leave me, but now she’s talking bad about me in public”
I am just getting started in this case and trying to get up to speed. Was the wedding video recently posted? The Tepes had been married a few years. Has it been viewable since they wed?

JMO, but I think it could be. My late husband was on prednisone for years after he was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis and he looked like MM. MOO

It's going to interesting to learn what the trigger for the murders were. I'm very curious about Mckee's financial situation and what it looked like over the past year. It's crossed my mind that he may have been under significant financial stress (Nevada suit). How any of this related back to Monique is really beyond me. But the way he was handling that suit was not normal by any means.

Despite tracking McKee's current medical license to Rockford, Illinois, in November, repeated phone calls made by Laird went unanswered. Laird was unaware of the Columbus murders until ABC6 Investigates informed him this week.

Laird told ABC6 Investigates that he also found it unusual that an attorney did not contact him on McKee's behalf who would be funded by malpractice insurance. Laird is now determining if McKee did not extend this insurance when he left Las Vegas. If he did not, Laird calls the action unusual due to unforeseen complications or claims by former patients.

So he what, blamed Monique and her husband for all his troubles in life? Clearly this guy's life was spiraling downward, but why seek out the Tepe's in particular for retribution? Were there others he intended to kill, was he some sort of injustice collector with a list of those who wronged or slighted him? I may never understand why this man did this. Those poor little girls.

I honestly think prison will be a relief. He couldn't cut it on his own as an adult in the world. In prison, he doesn't have to.

Very true, but he's not gonna like the people he'll be holed up with.

That's not at all what I'm seeing. Anyone who gets IN to med school and FINISHES has to have intelligence, discipline, resilience. It's a long haul, that's very stressful. I don't see a pattern other than he's an abuser who held a grudge for years and acted upon it (similar to the University of Boston killer). Professionally successful, but think the world owes them something. JMO
He definitely needed and had all those attributes. The things that may have caused him difficulty (malpractice lawsuits, his wife leaving him and then divorcing him and wanting nothing further to do with him) are personal in a way that academic tasks and professional tasks aren’t.

For certain personality styles, I think this second category of event is treated differently. Just an opinion – I’m not a psychologist. I’ve met and worked with people for whom events like these are taken as unforgivable and unjustifiable personal judgements.

An order filed Tuesday, Jan. 13, with the the Circuit Court of the 17th Judicial Circuit says the court was informed the transport of McKee to Franklin County, Ohio, will not be feasible by Monday, Jan. 19, 2026.

Instead, the original court set for Monday, Jan. 19, is stricken and a new date is set for Friday, Jan. 23, for a status on transport. The court says the new date will also be stricken if McKee is no longer in custody at the Winnebago County jail.

What could be the hold up here? He's only a few hours away! He should have already been transported, imo. They knew Saturday that this was most likely going to be taking place!
Does anyone think he will be transported to Franklin County before Tuesday?
See above, clearly not!! I don't understand the hold up transporting this guy.

Could you post links to lawsuits? I only could find reference to a "group suit", not individual, and only one. This article lays out a stellar record. Quick Facts About Michael McKee: Vascular Surgeon Career, Divorce, Why He 'Murdered' Spencer and Monique Tepe

Not saying it is the case here, but a possibility;

Androgen receptors bind to testosterone

Shoulders, the upper and middle chest, and neck have more androgen receptors than your leg muscles or most body parts. These receptors influence your body’s muscular growth. So, having high concentrated AR in the shoulder areas helps achieve a pumped-up body with minimum training.
there are many sites that have info on test/androgen receptors I got the above paragraph
From here ::Androgen Receptors in Shoulders: All You Need to Know.
Next question: why would someone take testosterone?

You’re right – in both, there were multiple defendants.

Eight defendants here, from 2024:
OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe, Columbus, 30 December 2025 MEDIA, MAPS, IMAGES & TIMELINES, NO DISCUSSION

Filed November 2025:
ARREST MADE - EX-HUSBAND OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe found shot to death at home 2 children unharmed, Columbus, 30 December 2025

For the board certification, a Michael David McKee is listed as being ‘in the examination process’ (or words to that effect) for vascular surgery. My link is in an earlier post. I don’t know if this means he had tried and failed. The only match for any Michael McKee under any speciality or general surgery on the site listing certification is this one, for Michael David McKee, under vascular surgery.

The first link, court document states McKee was part of the review group to okay the medical procedure for the plaintiff. A prison inmate didn't like the surgery result by another doctor, not McKee. Not able to open the second link.

IME, having worked with many State & Federal Court dockets over the years, this entry appears to be nothing more than a system posting error that either self-corrected or was corrected by the clerk when the action stricken.

Take note that on 6/17/25, a phantom PREV HEARING on 6/16/25 populated a CONTINUANCE for 9/26/25, but the complete ACTION HAS BEEN STRICKEN on 6/17/25.

Also take note that the same Docket had been dormant since 7/2/18, and nowhere was the phantom PREV HEARING of 6/16/25 ever Noticed [to the parties] on the Docket -- hence the name 'phantom hearing,' because it never happened. JMO

ETA: confirming the case is closed and was never reopened which would be expected for actual hearing activity.

Thanks for explaining that. Regardless of the reason why a phantom hearing got added to the case, what I'd like to know is does that trigger reaching out the the defendant and plaintiff in any manner (email, snail mail, etc.). I ask because if so, perhaps that triggered old memories of their divorce, which festered in him till he did what he did. Because why so long after the divorce of a very short marriage?
