OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe found shot to death at home 2 children unharmed, Columbus, 30 December 2025 *ex-husband arrested*

Sounds like JSM was being optimistic about this. IMO, he didn't do it to protect the children, he did it so that neighbors didn't hear the shots so there's be no lookie-loo's looking out windows when he made his getaway in the middle of the night, in the freezing cold, and with no car in sight. ALL suspicious looking. He did it for himself, and NOT for anyone else.

JMO!
Leaving those 2 children parentless is as cruel as what he did to their parents. (allegedly)

thats a tough sell for me ,because if he was wanted to protect then he wouldnt have killed their parents

I agree. I seriously doubt the killer used the silencer to protect the kids. He was protecting himself. Everything was about him. He didn't care who he hurt.

This is what makes sense to me, as well.

If he nursed a grudge that simmered and then exploded over eight years, purchased a gun, drove all that way, somehow gained entry and then killed Spencer and Monique, I can’t really conceive of him having a tender spot when it came to the children.

IMO he was on a quest for revenge, and his goals were to terrorize and then eliminate Monique and the man who’d replaced him. Done and done. Then he skulked off into the night with his hoodie on, and thought he’d escaped.

If he gave a thought to the children at all, maybe he was satisfied that they’d suffer as they grew and came to understand what happened to their parents.

In my opinion though, he’d done what he came to do and hustled out.

Thank God he didn’t kill the children, but they are still collateral damage.

And he left them alone, at least one probably in a crib. Unable to get water.

It was only because of the immediate and persistent effort of Soenser's coworkers that the crimes were discovered of quickly.

What if a day or two or three had gone by?

As it was, by 9 or 10 am, those babies were hungry, thirsty... and I'll bet their cries had never before gone unanswered --

He left them utterly defenseless.

And if he had any abandonment issues, how in hell's name, did he justify to himself killing their parents? Orphaned...

Blinded by selfish rage -- except that IMO he saw clearly what he was doing and didn't care.

Here's an article about her and other cases.

During a case in 2020, Manashe worked as co counsel alongside Florida defense attorney, Jose Baez. 😒

“After multiple delays, the trial finally got underway in February of this year with Menashe joining lead attorney Jose Baez, a high-profile, Florida-based defense lawyer known for winning acquittals in the sensational murder cases of Casey Anthony and Aaron Hernandez. “There was no momentum in that case until we began,” Menashe says.”

Well if anyone is looking for a fancy condo in Chicago, with a lake view looks like one will be for sale soon.

And that cheapskate was going to charge Monique 23% interest on a 1500 debt , but he can afford this lawyer? Figures.

It always amuses me when people say, “as a vascular surgeon, he could marry anyone”. If a woman went out with him, and he offered to split the cost of the dinner, his greed would be obvious, and here is how it would end. I seriously think that him being a cheapskate stood in the way of dating and a family.

cheapskate
controlling,
anti social,
vengeful,
He sure didnt put that on his dating profile. Women see through that faster these days.
He should have put “ seeking women with carotid artery disease, at least make it temporarily worth their while’ with some free work” 🫢

There was a lot of speculation about steroid use (testosterone?) b/c of his neck. Kind of fits with your theory. Cant wait to find out what we dont know.
Yes it does fit, good catch! Steroid abuse does cause impotence and ED. I hadn't thought about the symbolism of the silencer until someone asked the question. But also might explain some of his rage, feeling overwhelmed with life. Nothing was working in his life.

You’re right, “roid rage” is definitely a thing.

I have seen some people who abused steroids. Anger, mania but with some odd twinge.

I believe the abandonment of the kids probably factored into his twisted thinking.

"They don't get to have their parents just like I didn't get to have my birth parents"

I think this is a possibility. He was acting out his abandonment issues from bio parents giving him up for adoption. And his perceived abandonment by ex wife. Acting out his anger and paying everyone back in his irrational thought process.

At a quick glance his new lawyer Diane M …. looks stunningly like Monique.

Her resume is very strong. I hope Franklin Co brings out its A team for this trial.

  • Michael McKee is accused of medical malpractice in an amended complaint filed by a man in Las Vegas on Sept. 29, 2025 — but he could not be served papers because he allegedly "just disappeared," per an affidavit
  • McKee's location is no longer a secret because three months after that complaint was filed he was arrested and jailed for murder.

As of now, the medical malpractice case is set to go to trial in July 2027 with McKee as one of the defendants.

The plaintiff is seeking damages totaling over $50,000, and because neither Nevada or Illinois require doctors to be insured for medical malpractice, it is unclear if McKee would be covered if convicted or be forced to pay out of pocket.

Michael McKee has hired Columbus-based Criminal Defense Attorney Diane Menashe. McKee is slated to make his first Ohio court appearance on Friday. He's accused of the murders of Spencer and Monique Tepe. McKee is Monique's ex-husband.
