OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe found shot to death at home 2 children unharmed, Columbus, 30 December 2025 *ex-husband arrested*

Right. But breaking into a home warrants a car to police,
Yes but I am saying it won't change anything and the victim of a stalker knows it.

Here's a thought. He could have hacked into their security system by making it appear that everything is in working order and secure when it really wasn't.

In other words he somehow hacked and tampered with their security system and gave the Tepes a false sense of security.
What is the difficulty level of this task? Could an ordinary person pull it off? How long would it take to do it?

This theory could tick some boxes.

If he was able to tamper with electricity, he could send any security measures offline.

how could he do any of that with no supplies?
Prisoners are able to improvise with many things, some items obtained/traded by other prisoners who have jobs and can sneak items out, some come from commissary I would imagine. It's like how they are able to make weapons, alcohol and such.

Necessity is the Mother of Invention after all. ;)

He may have thought he was too smart to get caught. Or could talk his way out of an arrest or being found guilty.

Or maybe he wants the attention of a trial, wants to present a manifesto about how the world has wronged him, air his imagined grievances.

Or maybe he no longer cared about what would happen to him.
Or didn't think through the consequences due to mental illness or drugs, etc.
I think MM no longer cares what happens to him. He doesn't seem like genius mass murder material, plus he had created an identifiable connection trail to MT via email or text (over the years?) and close to the time of the murders.

It appears he half heartedly tried to cover his tracks, but any first year CJ student could have done a better job. I wouldn't be surprised if his DT tried to work out a plea deal or he pleads guilty before trial. He's done, and he left two innocent young children without their loving parents.

I meant his being at the house and her being upset at the same time was not coincidental.

But yes the threat of moving in next door may suggest he had been looking at properties there.
Thats why we need time frames
Her being upset on game day and him being at the house is one thing, what upset her? Did she get an alert about something? Did he mess with electrical or snip their wrifi?
If thats the case, dont you get an alert from ring that says your camera is offline? Then what would he do>? Go inside through a window? If she knew he was inside surelyI shed call the cops, or a monitored alarm system could be set up to call the cops. I have a carbon monoxide detector I removed temporarily and I get “ tamper alerts” that I cannot disable until its fixed.
IDK seems complicated

when I hear he threatened to movie in, next door, be it rent , buy, whatever, and then find out there is a house for rent one house away?? Might make me a lithe more reactive.
When did he say that? And how do the police know he said it? Is it old info and someone told them ? Or did they find something on her phone?

I’ve been away from this case for a bit, and am trying to get caught up. WOW, MM is a loon!

Poor MT being terrorized like she was, and the fear she must’ve felt when she realized he was inside the house with her and her family.

Back to reading.

Someone mentioned air tags being a possibility. I dont know what equipment is out these days, for tracking.
I heard Apple announced the other day of an expanded range. I found something from Apple so it's not JMO since I heard it said on CNBC.

Apple today unveiled the new AirTag, now with an expanded finding range and a louder speaker.

And then he went on to hire a high-profile attorney. I had opined upthread if finding an attorney that can get murderers off was part of his plan, and had Googled for this info beforehand. I think the man is 100% sane as far as law goes. My non-law opinion is that anyone that murders is crazy.

Yes I agree, more information and a time line will tell us how the crime unfolded from start to finish.

Possibilities on game day:
-She could have seen him on her Ring alert.
-A neighbor could have called or texted her.
-He could have emailed, called, texted her with a threat.
-He could have taunted her by showing her a picture of him standing in the middle of her house or bedroom.

Yes one of the possible reasons she returned to the hotel room was to call the police. And alert the person taking care of the children.

I tend to agree that whatever happened with MT on the 6th was something vaguely threatening but not confirmed or as outwardly invasive as him being in the house. I say this based on a combo of factors, but mostly that there wasn't a call to police (that we know of), Spencer doesn't seem to have left with her, and they were okay with returning to the house with their kids.

I think the theory that a neighbor might have texted her about seeing a weird guy around is a good one. I'd also buy that MM was poking her - sending her the rental listing or posting that he was in the area (like on an Instagram story or something - maybe an acquaintance saw and gave her a heads up?).

I don't think anyone saw him actively entering or casing the house, as that probably would have resulted in a 911 call/family activation. Same with him revealing that he had entered the house (if he did).

Whatever it was, I think it was an otherwise mundane incident that MT knew was a bad sign. This guy is a sick freak who knew he didn't need to do much to remind her of his presence.

I tend to agree. I think it was enough to spoil the outing for her but she didn't want to spoil it for the others.

I hate that he clouded her best life.

And then destroyed it.

Unchecked evil.

If it was so mundane, why did MM leave the game and return to the hotel? This was a big game. Big Ten Championship game out of town. It was not cheap either, hotel, tickets, dining out. Why leave in the middle of the game and go back to the hotel over a minor incident?

Airtags send an alert to people they are moving with if the airtag is not registered to them to prevent this type of use.

It would be mundane to everyone else... ie. a neighbor saying there is a person wandering around your house... but alarming to her.

MT left the game, MM wasn't in attendance. He was busy doing whatever it was he did at their home.

Yes exactly. So in reality it was not mundane. It was serious. This is why she left the game.

Sorry typo. Yes MT was at the game. MM was up to no good elsewhere.

I know there has been debate about whether MM was on the premises or actually inside the home on December 6, 2025. From this article from NBC news, MM was inside the house.

[...]
Security video allegedly captured McKee entering the couple’s Columbus home on Dec. 6 while they were gone, the document says. Officials say McKee left a few hours later.
[...]

JMO
It cites the court documents as their source and the court documents don't say that he went inside their house.
