Do Alexa devices, like Echo Show or alarm, store voice commands or general conversation in a room (at the Amazon server level)?

I just looked this up. It would only store that stuff if someone said "Alexa," or it thought it heard that word.

Where it might come in handy is if the door locks were connected to Alexa (or door sensors themselves) - those logs would be stored.

unless he has a hat and a hoodie on- what was the temp that day at 3 a.m.? If you are wearing a hat and a hoodie, they can dislodge each other, and you have to adjust them.
It was really cold and windy in Cbus. last week. It would have been around 18-20 degrees around that time. It snowed the following night.

It has been assumed that robbery was not a motive. But who would know if PART of her jewelry was missing, or anything else unknown. My father had a coin collection. Had someone taken 1/4 of it, my mother would never have known.

I mention this because that would be another reason to go to the bedroom. To steal small, easy to pass valuables. (Watches, wallets, jewelry, these days phones, tablets). Shot because Monique woke up and was shot, Spencer started to get up was wounded, then a final, fatal shot (why he was on the floor).

While it looks like targeted on the surface, I have to leave robbery on the table unless someone knew everything they owned and has accounted for all of it.

Boo. Thanks for looking into it, Massy.

And yet these friends showed up at the scene before LE. And is it really life imprisonment for taking a gun from a crime scene especially if you know there is no murderer to be found (since he/she is already dead)? Murder-suicide is really Occam's razor to me in this case. Just 3 shots to kill 2 people - I think an outsider would have likely fired more shots (2-3 per person) to ensure they were truly dead. Kids and dog not locked up in their room (at least not that I have heard) but heard/did nothing - which points to mild sedation. Again only something the parents could have done. JMO.
Tampering with evidence is a felony, it can land you in jail for a long time.

How do people bypass the code locks? I’ve considered them, but never thought about them being less safe. I’ll stick with my
Magnets, wires. There are many ways. Please also make certain you delete the master or default codes that are in the manual. Add another code, but DELETE the master code. Also ways to bypass knobsets very easily but I won’t post for ethical reasons. Always have more than one lock on your door.

My locksmith only has key locks, he would never have an electronic lock except a few commercial grade options, or an Iseo.

This is total speculation but she said she sees a man in his mid to late 30s. She said current college age males: 1) wouldn’t wear skinny jeans. The in style cut is straight or wider legs. 2) wouldn’t wear jeans that light. The current style is darker.
Please ask your observant daughter to take a look at his shoes / boots.

To me (very unfashionable and non trendy) they look like boots and have an industrial look to them. I thought they might even be steel toed boots- of the olde school, utilitarian sort. As a side note, some steel toed boot are designed with a more fashionable look.

That aside, many people who wear industrial boots of any sort are not inclined to select jeans based on fashion cuts ie "skinny". Selecting boot cut jeans is a different story.

Getting to the point....

Maybe the guy was striving for some sort of "look" between the skinny jeans and the seemingly industrial look shoes / boots? Has your daughter ever heard of such a look? Sort of say... a "punk" look variation?

What do they mean by divided into sections?

Anyone think there’s more than what we’re being shown?

sorry to jump in, but i just think they mean the formatting and dimensions of the video. see the negative white space. IG calls for portrait video and different dimensions of whereas youtube prefers landscape orientation, etc etc

and yes def more, they have more

It means it's cropped to be optimized for horizontal phone screens, nothing nefarious. But yes they probably have lots more footage that is not being released to the public. jmo

A two inch USB and a crypto wallet passkey could be worth millions. And there have been a few high profile cases of people being tortured and murdered for that.

Again, the information about no *apparent* robbery came from the brother in law. It's very possible it's incorrect or they just don't know yet. Personal interviews and a quick forensic audit of the financials would help if they had anything like this. We just don't know. But, yeah, as I mentioned upthread irrational criminals like tweakers etc. panic and in many cases end up killing the homeowners and fleeing with no illicit gains.

I am most curious about the layout of the crimescene and ballistics now. How far away from the victims were the casings. What was the entry and exit wound angle/bloodspatter. Were they killed in bed, or did the scene indicate a struggle. etc. These area ll things the police already know. I would also be curious of any security entry/status/etc. I think people are overestimating a DIY SimpliSafe alarm, a generic "smart lock" the builder installed, and a singe Ring doorbell camera, in an area baser on factual history were I would have my home a fortress.

I am a millennial born in the 90s. My first impression upon seeing the screenshots was young.

I would believe this individual to be 20-40s.

Skinny, slim fit pants with Chelsea type boots.

The pants and boots are the same young professionals wear in my country - doctors, lawyers, builders.

I wear hoodies and have a ski cap, and I walked around my house with them on. If you have your hands in your pockets and are pushing down harder on one side, your hat will get pulled down over one eye. It appears he may be adjusting his hat back because he is putting more pressure in his right pocket. This could happen if there is a gun in that pocket—just speculation.

Could be the angle of the video but he looks quite tall to me, it looks like the top of the trash can is at or above his waist. I'm 5'2" and a standard trash can is at my ribcage. I would guess 20s-early 30s, the clothes aren't extremely on trend but they aren't dated. Normal for the midwest.

Very common to wear boots in winter weather in OH. Not wearing them is impractical and would stand out.

I think they spliced together different views/different camera captures... one part says "NEST"

I agree. I think the pants are just folding at the knees, captured on a low-res camera.
To me, the white patches around the dark parts of his knees look ripped to me, and these screenshots don't really do it justice but there is noticeable white portions of the pants akin to torn jean fabric. The dark parts look to me like there was maybe a sewn-in patch under the knee almost like the attached image, though agree it could also be mud or something. the bottoms of the jeans also look slightly more skinny cut which makes me think jeans over khakis
