May justice be swift and harsh for Spencer and Monique.

Linking the above video released by Columbus police.

Supposedly these homicides were committed between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The above-linked video seems to show daylight (notice the long shadows when the POI walks).

Daylight in Columbus, OH, on 12/30/25 was at 7:58 a.m. (see link below).

So, if this is indeed the perp, where was he for two - three hours before he started walking around in daylight?

Weather on 12/30/25 apparently was light snow.

Or is the shadow from a street light or garage light?

"Only $500K."

We be ballin' around here, I guess?
Have you gone house shopping for houses lately?

<Modsnip: Quoted post did not actually mention edibles>

I'm way too poor for that, bro. That's why I'm saying 500k is ballin'. It's ballin' in the metropolitan area where I live, though we're surprisingly a smaller market than Columbo.

I thought this whole show was super informative. if there is any curiosity about how fast everyone called 911, it stands to reason that they will be questioned as to why? Not as suspects but to get more insight. Maybe there is more than just the predictable routine being off.
Also not only did one person call for a welfare check but friends came and co workers travelled,. It was a big reaction, so it’s fair to ask… why such concern? What do they know, if anything.

The bottom line is they both deserved to live. And they deserve justice. Understanding their lifestyle is key to that.

This information somewhat answers my question about why an affluent family with two small children might stay in a neighborhood where (the neighbor says) shots are often heard and the nearby park is drug-ridden and dangerous.

The victims in Idaho lived in a party house where no one was checking an invitation list at the door. Doors were open. Someone’s friend could perhaps sleep it off if needed. Maybe there was an older version of this happening in this house. Their business, no judgement…but opens new areas of investigation to find them the justice they deserve.

Exactly. It very much opens up a different line of thought than before this info came up.

It's not judging the deceased. Not at all. Does it help me sleep a bit better? Sure. Random crime is always scarier than someone who was into something no matter how socially acceptable or innocent it may be in 2026. The risk factor would still be there.

Maybe there was a different issue years ago and another one last year (2 different calls to 911)? How can the BIL be absolutely sure that the Fox News reported call was the one from years ago that he is thinking of? He wasn't there on either occasion so what he is sharing is third hand information.

I read somewhere that he’s the family spokesperson. I think he’s overwhelmed and probably over sharing his thoughts, when he should be quiet.
Yes, true. But I can't help but wonder how any of us clever websleuths would act in the same situation?! Would we be able to hide our remarkable intelligence and wisdom? Probably not! :D

Hmmmm. I have been away today, seems I have missed something big. A call from April at 2:45 am. OMGosh, who may I ask is April, when did she call them at 2;45 am on a weekday, and how do we know this? Anyone? I would appreciate any info on this?
The call occurred in April. According to the brother in law, it is not Monique. It sounds like maybe it was from a houseguest.

I'm not understanding the criticism I'm seeing in regard to the brother-in-law speaking out so frequently.

The number one complaint we hear from families in similar situations, is that their case isn't receiving much media attention. Why? Because they know that media attention can help bring about a resolution. It applies pressure to law enforcement, and can help generate leads.

If I was in his position I'd be speaking to absolutely any outlet that would listen, and I wouldn't shut up until the case was solved.

I am local to the area..used to reside on summit st (the next st over) during college. I just want to say I’m a little worried about Columbus police solving this. If you remember how the cases of Brian Shaffer, Joey labute jr and Tyler Davis have went…totally different cases but unsolved

I sure hope they realize that you can see a face in the video, it doesn't tell us much beyond skin color and possible shape of face, but it could be enhanced. There is NO WAY that LE didn't do exactly what I did. I expect that is why they have been so quiet, there must be an ENORMOUS amount of video and tips to go through. They don't need to release too much and get another flood of tips until they make progress on current evidence. There are cameras EVERYWHERE in that ally and on the street corners. They KNOW where he went. They KNOW if he was the one who went to ST and MT's house.

It is interesting how everyone assumes a dentist's wife should speak in a particular way. If you check the comments in that article, people are saying "I can't believe a dentist's wife can speak like that".

yes, both her kids were with Spencer. She was married to the first husband from 2015-2017.
I admit that I immediately thought “Because me and my man got into it, but I’m OK, I promise,” sounded like it came from someone else. (I could be so wrong!
Just admitting to making the same type of assumptions 😬)

IMO, though, it could’ve been any of a bunch of different scenarios.

I didn’t hear the 911 call myself, so it could’ve been that the NY Post had an incorrect transcription.
Or she could’ve been drunk.
Or yes, of course, she could refer to her husband as “my man,” even when taking to 911.

The article seemed to say the call came from that house, right?
Does that mean house phone?
Or are they saying it came from Monique’s cell phone?
Or was it gps (or something) traced to that address? (Is that a thing 911 can do?) Could it have been a random person outside of the house?
Or do they ever offer their house as an airbnb and it was some renter? Etc.
