I wonder why they thought the woman in the 911 call was having mental health issues or took too many edibles? It sounded like she was really upset and she did have a fight with her man. MOO.
It would be interesting to hear that 911 call. After listening to Monique’s voice in her wedding video, I think she has a distinct voice.BIL Robert Misleh just went live on STS and said that 911 caller is absolutely not Monique, and many can corroborate. It was someone who attended a house party they hosted on that date.
She had an ex-husbandDid either of the deceased have an ex-spouse or significant other ?
Was there any ongoing relationship issues from the past, etc.
This terrible crime feels personal.
Imo.
Rest in peace, Monique and Spencer.
Their poor children !!![]()
Monique's first marriage was childless, and he is not a person of interest.Saw a post saying Monique had an ex-husband. Anybody hear more solid detail on that? Were both of the kids by same dad? Curious.
First thought is if they had a better picture LE would put it out there but maybe not. Maybe they know like you are saying and just waiting for a bit more evidence while they keep an eye on him.I sure hope they realize that you can see a face in the video, it doesn't tell us much beyond skin color and possible shape of face, but it could be enhanced. There is NO WAY that LE didn't do exactly what I did. I expect that is why they have been so quiet, there must be an ENORMOUS amount of video and tips to go through. They don't need to release too much and get another flood of tips until they make progress on current evidence. There are cameras EVERYWHERE in that ally and on the street corners. They KNOW where he went. They KNOW if he was the one who went to ST and MT's house.
I think he just went private. He didn't wipe anything. JMOThr brothers in law was talking a bit too much and his previoys reddit comments on unrelated things have all been wiped from his profile.
Misleh added that he believes the children were not exposed to the crime scene.
"As far as I know, I don’t think that they were. I don’t think that they saw what happened," he said, adding, "or at least I want to believe that with my heart.”
Ok well, let's hope so.Interesting that the BIL is speaking in such vague terms. I mean at this point he should know more or they did not consent to a forensic interview. Says the kids are acting unaware and happy and they don't want to tell them.

Orphaned Young Kids of Slain Dentist, Wife Are 'Unaware as They Ever Could Be,' Says Family Member
Monique Tepe's brother-in-law says he believes the children did not see the crime scene.people.com
I was thinking more jealousy or revenge or a money issue related to maybe the murderer was unable to pay back a loan?I guess it is a motive, but seems lower down on the list of probable theories.
It was more personal information being shared within hours of the murders. With a murderer on the loose during such a tragic time, it was the comfort of sharing private info online that made people find it peculiar.I'm not understanding the criticism I'm seeing in regard to the brother-in-law speaking out so frequently.
The number one complaint we hear from families in similar situations, is that their case isn't receiving much media attention. Why? Because they know that media attention can help bring about a resolution. It applies pressure to law enforcement, and can help generate leads.
If I was in his position I'd be speaking to absolutely any outlet that would listen, and I wouldn't shut up until the case was solved.
Investigators believe Spencer Tepe, a dentist in Athens, and his wife, Monique Tepe, were killed in their home during the 3-hour window when the video was recorded.
Knowing all of the cameras that are along these allies and streets, they should be able to track this person's movements, where he came from, and where he ended up. Unless, he got into a car and drove away. Plates not picked up. It was 23F out that night, he couldn't have been going far, or out in that temp for too long. He either went to a home, apartment, to the Tepe's, or where? Are they still looking at videos and trying to piece together his movements?First thought is if they had a better picture LE would put it out there but maybe not. Maybe they know like you are saying and just waiting for a bit more evidence while they keep an eye on him.
Here it is (if I’m not supposed to post this, please remove) 911 call at Ohio dentist's home reported 'domestic dispute' months before he and wife found shot dead: recordsIt would be interesting to hear that 911 call. After listening to Monique’s voice in her wedding video, I think she has a distinct voice.
He wasn't really dressed warmly enough too go far for long, but who knows.Knowing all of the cameras that are along these allies and streets, they should be able to track this person's movements, where he came from, and where he ended up. One hour late in a profession with appointments and having a good reputation of calling if not there would be concerning if you couldn't reach dentist or person to contact if needed…jmoCoumo was saying that the dentists were one hour late for work and their office called police, saying that it was of particular concern that they couldn't reach the wife...
is one hour late kinda suss? do they know something at the office?
<modsnip: not victim friendly>
The family doesn't need a spokesperson, imo, since LE is actively working on the case. There isn't a missing person to advocate for, and there isn't a need to push LE into action. I expect silence from this point forward, unless BIL is making the youtube circuit (which I hope he isn't, tbh).IMO The family needs a professional spokesperson. Spencer's father works for a high-powered Cincinnati law firm. They surely can help find someone.
