Isn't it amazing how all the 'tears and crying' stopped very quickly as soon as the lenient sentence was handed out.
sex offender status will be decided at a future date.
:thud:
Get on with the civil suits.
Minimum of one year. Justice my a$$
Do NOT like this option at all.
It should be mandatory!
Thanks for correcting. I caught that later. One for Malik, two for Trent. He did say consecutively.
Not only the 1 year thing...but also time served.
How long have they been locked up?
How often they have to report as a sex offender is what will be determined.
So glad this judge didn't let them walk out. Even if they only serve a year, that's a long time to a teen who's never been away from Mommy. Their educations and gridiron dreams are ruined and forget the prom and all those other irreplaceable high school milestones. Sealed records won't change the fact that everyone knows their names, faces and deeds. They will always have "rapist" attached to their names. They deserve all of it. I don't care how young they are, they revealed their true characters that night. This goes on all the time! I graduated from hs in 1980 and it happened at more than one drunken party, but we didn't have cell phones. And you know what? The same 3-4 guys who were raping in hs are at age 49 or 50 STILL horrible people!
