I never got enough time to do that reconstruction but I am certain the method would work. I am still new to using the program anyways which complicated things. It'd have been nothing more than an amateur attempt at something scientific I guess.

Carl you never cease to amaze me. Thank you for your time on everything you've done with this case. I think the reconstruction is incredible. She looks familiar, northern European too.

I have always had a feeling she could be Charlotte Brown. I may have mentioned it earlier in the thread. They theorize one of the women and possibly both were dumped/buried in the Brunswick (iirc) area or nearby areas. If by water, they may have ended in a river, although the distal end of the east branch of the rocky river looks much too shallow and narrow unless it was after a storm (storm rinses body into and them down river?)

Was the assumption she had blonde hair based on her facial structure or a possible strand found?

Knew it never would be, but disappointed to see Beverly Potts ruled out. It's surreal this girl I discovered is now (findable) in a system after 40 years. Can't believe it how a typo can screw things up.

I missed that. Was there mention that she might have had blonde hair?

I feel like I remember it from somewhere, it's bugging me. Maybe the old teletypes between departments in the casefile. I can look tomorrow.

I couldn't find a NamUs page for Darcy Brown, but there are quite a few pictures of her on the internet. She is believed to have been dumped in Hinkley Lake or somewhere in Medina County, per her Charley page.
Charlotte was believed to wear wigs.

THEN BY ICE 90, The foregoing was by CarlK:

I just thought of something concerning the hair color.

Is it the unid victim's natural hair color? Or was it dyed to another hair color? Would they be able to determine if a victim's hair color was natural or dyed?

FROM POST #171 by ICE90:

Well look at the Kalamazoo missing girl, turned up states away. Anyways, and I think CarlK can agree with this, there appears to be no hair, not sure how they figured it was blonde unless there was a single strand in the mud or something. At this point I think we can only rule out men and those far outside age range...and those without matching dental work in 5 teeth. Good find!

ICE190's link to the case file she obtained is at post #52. Haven't had time to review it yet re the hair.

I wonder where they came up with blond hair, too. Did they actually find blond hairs associated with the remains or would they just assume that a Nordic skull would most likely be blond?

Charlotte Brown went missing from Cleveland, OH in 1973. She has a big nose but I can't tell if it were hooked. She was 29 when she disappeared, so she's a little outside the range. Strangely, her husband's first wife, Darcy Brown, disappeared from Lakewood OH in 1964 and she also had a pretty big nose, too. If it weren't for her children witnessing her getting stabbed and the estimated time of death being off, I'd think Darcy might be a possibility for this JD, too.

Charlotte(l) Darcy (r)

Interesting. That photo of Darcy looks nothing like the other photos of her. And this one looks like she might have had some work done on her teeth, too. (It also mentions that her nose had been broken several times, which I think would be visible on the skull, wouldn't it?)

I found several pictures of her on line. I picked the one that showed her nose best. Some of the later ones look like her nose might have been altered. I'm thinking it would depend on how badly the nose was broken and what part of the nose it involved whether or not it showed? Maybe Carl knows if broken noses would show up on a skull and could shed some light on that? I'm still trying to find out if an ME can tell if someone has had a nose job or not.

Yeah, hopefully Carl will drop in again. I know we have other UIDs who are described as having had broken noses, and I know some nose surgery involves breaking the cheekbones, so at least sometimes it can be detected. But it seems possible that not everything would.

I went ahead and gave it a try. Since there was no mandible, the jawline is entirely a guess. And I have nothing on her hairstyle, so that is a guess too. But I probably have her face shape pretty close from the mouth up.

Debra Wilhite appears to have a narrow arched nose. She went missing October 1974.

Just a thought...there is another case nearby with an unidentified woman entered into NamUs but not here on WS threads (that I have been able to find). It was in Columbia Station, Lorain County (which is 6.5 miles from Strongsville). Date of death is 1979 - 1981.

Ya'll may already be familiar with this case but just throwing something else out there!
