I wonder which witness they are talking about? Just because the Judge is considering it, doesn't mean it is going to happen. I would think it would depend on how crucial this witness is. Going to try to look up more info.

"If it wasn't for the GPS, we probably wouldn't have found him guilty at all. The GPS proved that he was in Logan when he said he wasn't. He lied to police about it. The interesting thing is the GPS was the one thing he physically gave to the detective," Harmon said."

This was from a juror at the above link. I guess the witness they were challenging wasn't crucial to the conviction.

The trial for Sandra Inman was scheduled to begin Monday, but she already made a deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to kidnapping and murder. She was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.

15 years isn't enough.

Inman’s attorneys say prosecutors reneged on death-penalty deal
Arguing that prosecutors failed to honor a deal with his wife, William “Bill” Inman’s lawyers are asking a judge to dismiss the possibility of the death penalty in the murder case against him.

Jury selection is to begin next Tuesday in Hocking County Common Pleas Court as Inman, 48, faces aggravated murder and other charges in the strangulation death of daughter-in-law Summer Inman.
