Sandra Inman confession: Kidnapping 'was my idea'
Summer Inman’s mother-in-law told an investigator that it was her idea to snatch the mother of three in downtown Logan and force her into a car so she could beg for weekend visits with her grandchildren.

“It was my idea,” Sandra K. Inman told a deputy sheriff in March 2011. “I thought I could talk to her.”

A southeast Ohio woman told authorities in a taped confession that her son accidentally strangled his estranged wife with a plastic zip tie before his parents helped him dump the body in a church septic tank.
Sandra Inman, 47, told investigators in 2011 that she wanted to see her grandchildren more so she came up with the idea of forcing her daughter-in-law into the car in Logan so they could discuss the issue, according to a transcript of the interview. Once Summer Inman was forced into the back seat, her wrists were bound with zip ties.

Yea, it said...

Will Inman accidentally strangled his wife with a zip tie he had put around her neck, Mrs. Inman said. “I know, I know positively, he didn’t do it on purpose. - See more at: http://www.dispatch.com/content/sto...ealed-in-inman-case.html#sthash.ntdzW2vD.dpuf

How do you accidentally put a zip tie around someones neck? What other reason would they have for putting it around her neck? Why was a zip tie even around her neck unless they were planning on murder.

This article is just heartbreaking :-(

For Summer Inman’s family, wounds are deep, healing slow
As they grow up without their mommy, the children of Summer Dawn Inman ask questions about her.

They also ask about their dad, William A. “Will” Inman II; their “Papaw,” William A. “Bill” Inman; and their “Nana,” Sandra K. Inman, all imprisoned for their mother’s murder.

Summer’s parents — Debra and Michael Cook — answer their grandchildren’s questions truthfully but carefully, often consulting the counselor whom 7-year-old Alex and 5-year-old Kaley visit regularly. Alanna, now 3 1/2, does not ask as many questions.

“For the first six to nine months, we didn’t tell them anything,” Mrs. Cook said. But when Alex entered kindergarten last school year with classmates who knew what had happened, his grandparents knew they couldn’t put it off any longer.

“We started telling him at counseling,” Mrs. Cook said. “We were afraid of saying the wrong thing. ... You have to tell the truth and protect him at the same time.”

Much more!

Alex, who is in the Sunday school class his maternal grandmother teaches at First Church Praise and Worship Center in Logan, studied a Bible lesson about Jesus healing someone and asked, “Why didn’t Jesus heal Mommy?” She had to think for a moment. “I said something about ‘Mommy had been dead a long time, and it was too late.’  ”

The children have discussed what they should call their grandparents.
“Alanna calls me Mommy a lot,” Mrs. Cook said. “About six months ago, I heard Alex asking Kaley if she wanted to call me Mommy. Kaley said, ‘No, she’s Grandma.’ Alex said, ‘But if we don’t call her Mommy, we’ll never have a mommy.’  ”

Inman II will be assigned new attorney

William Inman II will have a new attorney in his second attempt at appealing the conviction of kidnapping and killing his wife, Summer Inman.

Inman’s attorney from his first appeal, which was denied by the Fourth District Court of Appeals on July 23, does not want to propose another case. Inman will now be assigned a new court-appointed attorney.

I had never heard of this case until I saw something about it on either Oxygen or Discovery-ID.

What an incredible trainwreck that poor girl married into - and the program didn't even begin to describe what those people were into! I'm guessing that Inman Sr. (and, to a lesser degree, his wife) were cult leader wannabes.
