wow that a big house. I wonder if they had a house keeper? I not being smart.. Or if the they had laborers to help keep up with the ground?

Alot of times, people rent their land and other people farm it. You pay so much per acre to rent.

From reading through the thread I see that they were searching the couple's house today? Gosh, this is all so sad.

TBH, I don't have a good feeling about the elderly couple and I am thinking SL may not have left them in the house or on their property but perhaps a remote location this time.

I do hope they are alive but we are dealing with a dangerous and desperate individual here. :(

Dodds says a neighbor noticed that the Russells had not been out and about and called the Logan County Sheriff’s Office to request a welfare check. When officers arrived, they found a piece of paper inside the home with a cell phone and the name “Sam” written on it. When they called the phone number it rang into Samuel Littleton's cell phone, but no one answered.

That is strange.

The couple is in poor health too. :(

Dodds and family members gathered at the Russells’ house Friday morning tell Dayton’s News Source that Richard Russell is a stroke survivor who takes blood pressure medicine and is insulin dependent. They also say that Richard Russell uses a walker or a wheelchair. A medication log kept by the couple was last updated at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday.

Wonder who or what is in W. VA or Tennessee that would give SL reason to go there?

It seems to me that LE would have tried to contact the number in Chicago that was called last Saturday morning. Perhaps that is someone SL called seeking assistance or a place to run to. Wish they would report that this aspect has been cleared.

Sounds like they are headed this way. I am stuck all day at home today though.

I am so sad for this couple and their family. Anyone who has taken their parents, the age of this couple, on an errand knows what is involved. Just getting them in and out of a car is a draining experience. I just don't see SL dealing with all that.

F.Y.I.

On the biggest news station that we get here there is a scrolling message at the bottom of the screen concerning this situation. It is also stated that there is a nationwide manhunt for Sammy K. Littleton. It says about the missing couple, the car, and to call 911. I will be watching our 12:00 news to see what they say.

I wonder who's hand writing the note is in? I'm just wondering if one of the Russells left that note to give LE a headsup/tip. I hope they took their meds with them. The picture of the Russel house, does it look like there is a handicap ramp in front? I thought it did but wasn't sure. Do the Russells have family near by or maybe where Sam is taking them? Very sad scary situation.

BBM

That's a very good observation. I really can't see Sam leaving that note.

Unless he wants LE to call him?

I was thinking that but he doesn't have his phone on. Not to mention, LE could have gotten the phone # from DN at anytime.

Not sure we're allowed to post things from topix but I saw that Samuel's birth certificate was issued in WV. But it is said he grew in in the DeGraff or Qunicy area of Ohio.

The topix that is linked from news websites as their comment section appears to be okay, jmo

In listening to the 911 call from the neighbor, the dispatcher asks her about family and she says they don't really have any, but in the same context mentions that she (the neighbor) called a sister of Gladis in Marysville. She hadn't heard anything from Gladis.
