That would explain why there is a tag for "woodpile" under the replies. It's been there a day, and I was trying to figure out the connection.

Yeah and apparently, when SL was asked about scratches on his person, he said that some "wood got away from me" or something to that affect. The link to this comment was posted upthread last night.

I also took that to mean they weren't releasing info until they catch SL. I'm assuming they want to question him and don't want to leak clues that would prove it was him.

I think it is possible that SL called the couple from the location his car was found, and had them come pick him up. This would account for his mobile phone number being found on a slip of paper in the house, and also for the fact that his car was found 2 miles away (according to link). The couple may very well be nowhere near their home.

Please understand what I am about to say. I hope with every fiber of my being that the Russells are found safe and sound but for the life of me I cannot guess or imagine why SL would take these two with him, alive. They would only slow him down, wouldn't they? With three of them in the car, more chance they would be recognized, etc. I just can't get my head to grasp why he would do this.
