F******* sickos

Castration should be an acceptable form of punishment in these type of cases. In addition to decades of prison time.

video clip of closing arguments. Prosecution first. Then Defendant (father) "Before I get started I wanted to ask for forgiveness, forgiveness first from my God, the most High, my Father Yahweh" (sp.?). Defendant (son): "Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, please do the right thing; reunite this family and end their suffering."

If convicted, father faces live without parole. Son faces multiple years in prison.

Timothy Ciboro was sentenced to 5 life sentences plus 41 years, with no eligibility for parole.

Esten Ciboro was sentenced to 3 life sentences plus 38 years, with the possibility of parole.

The father and son were found guilty on a total of 17 charges; ten for Timothy and seven for Esten.

Timothy and Esten, when asked if they had anything to say before the judge read their sentences, both told the judge they had no prior record.

Before reading the sentences, Judge Jennings called the Ciboros “depraved” and “evil” and their actions “disgusting, perverted and reprehensible.”

She also said they had, “distorted the word of God for your own evil purposes.”

In addition to the prison sentences, both Ciboros were registered as tier 3 sex offenders.

I am amazed at the children who suffered such abuse and had the courage to face their abusers. Thank goodness they have been able to escape and I hope to receive lots of love and support.

I am so angry that these 🤬🤬🤬 put them through a trial and subjected them to their questioning (the oldest one endured 8 hours!). Ugh. I am glad justice was served. I can't say more or I might violate TOS.

Thank you so much to those that kept the thread updated!

Toledo attorney John Thebes, who served as standby counsel for Timothy, said afterward that taking the case to trial, not having a trained lawyer to represent them, and putting the children through hours of grueling questioning on the witness stand was misguided.

“I’m not surprised, and I thought it was an appropriate sentence,” Mr. Thebes said. “They forgot the Golden Rule: to treat others how you’d like to be treated. That’s from the King James Bible. I have no problem in the least with what happened here.”

[Prosecutor] He was pleased with the verdict, the sentence, and the way the three children were able to face their abusers.

“I am proud of them,” Mr. Spryszak said. “It’s amazing the resilience the kids have and the way they were able to stand tall and answer tough questions and really stand up.”

Esten told the jury in his closing argument that they’d committed no crimes, that it was clear the children had been told by others to say they’d been molested.
“Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, do the right thing,” he said. “Reunite this family. End their suffering.”

His father talked about faith — rather than the criminal case — in his closing argument, saying his job in the trial “was to glorify Him [God] and not to put forth any dirty laundry or past sin that [the 13-year-old victim] had committed.”

'After sentencing ] Timothy made a final attempt to object and told the judge he wanted “shadow counsel” appointed for his appeal.
“You don’t get shadow counsel for the appeal Mr. Ciboro,” Judge Jennings told him. “You can either have an attorney representing you on an appeal or you do it yourself.”
As deputies led the two out of the courtroom, Timothy called out that he wanted to spend two hours every night with his “co-counsel,” Esten.
