Also, BTW, I was able to locate a classmate of SLL who knew her during high school, but hasn't seen her since graduation. He said that she had reddish-brown hair that was more red than brown. This is another point of agreement with BG's physical description.

I just received an e-mail from Lt. Lord that the SLL who lived in Terre Haute (with the Dec'55 DOB) is not likely the same SLL who went to Clinton HS. Her "L" surname was acquired by marriage, and her previous name (starting with B) was not likely her maiden name either, as she has children bearing that name.

Did you happen to look and see if Clinton High School has an alumni page on Facebook? FB is blocked here at work, too hard for me to look on my phone or I would.

Clinton HS actually no longer exists. I found a website with some names and email addresses of alumni and sent that to Carl. I don't know if he used that or FB to make contact with a classmate.

I checked the public record index at ancestry for people with that L last name and the town of Clinton, IN. a number of people show up but no SLL (which is not surprising if in fact she is BG) but I have no way of knowing who might be related.

I contacted one woman from the Clinton HS 74 Facebook page. She didn't remember SLL. I sent out e-mails to all of the class of 74 alumni from the e-mail list that Webrocket sent to me. I got one response from a man who knew her.

Carl, is that her on page 34, same yearbook, top right?

Carl, at Classmates, does the Clinton HS yearbook contain undergraduate pictures? the reason I ask is that I'm having a hard time reconciling the two images. you have the very formal yearbook pic for SLL and the post-mortem for BG. also SLL's hair looks considerably lighter than BG's. so I was wondering if the 1973 yearbook had less formal images of the junior class so we can get a second look at SLL. (that also would include 71 and 72 for freshman and sophomore years).

webrocket, it does contain undergrad photos, but 1974 is the only one SLL is in. Prior to 74, Classmates doesn't have yearbooks for Clinton High until 1968.

Yes, this is SLL. Thanks. I hadn't noticed that one.

Yes, the 73 book was there, but it is not there now for some reason. Here is her junior photo

BG's hair appears to be wet in the photos, so that may cause it to look darker.

For the record, the classmate of hers who knew her looked up BG's case and says that he sees that BG was 5'4"-5'6". He recalls SLL being shorter than that, and consequently doubts that she is BG.

I just received another response this morning from a former classmate of SLL who says that she saw SLL about 5 years ago attending a funeral.

So this one is resolved. SLL is not BG.

That's also a good point about people not necessarily wearing the same style of clothes all the time. I'd still love to know if her jacket showed signs of having been worn heavily, i.e. was it likely her favorite "signature piece" that others would have recognized as being hers, or did it appear barely worn?

Carl, those images with her hair down are great. Maybe someone who wore her hair in a feathered style in the late Seventies or early Eighties can answer this...if it was heavily feathered, it couldn't be braided easily because of the varying lengths of the hair sections, right? So she probably had one-length, long hair or very lightly feathered hair at best?

It doesn't look likely that her hair was unbraided post-mortem with a photo taken, but that might have been useful.

My 1st impression of her with the braids & fringed buckskin pullover; was she was dressed to be riding on a motorcycle. I wish I still had my Easy Rider mags from back then. We wore braids to keep our hair from getting knotted. Even with a regular pony tail; our hair would get knotted from the wind. I've been trying to get back here to read the full post but just don't have time.

Wish I knew if there were any bike runs in late April 1981 in states near Ohio. If this was closer to March; I'd wonder if they were on the way back from Bike Week. Wouldn't be hard to transport a body with a side car. Possible she started off on a motorcycle & was left.

I have a friend that was a photographer for ER Mag. I'll try to pick thru her old pictures to see if I can find similar clothing.

If she had been a biker chick, there would have been indications of that, such as grease and road dirt on the pant legs near the ankles. Also, she was wearing bell-bottom jeans, which could tend to be hazardous on a motorcycle.

We wore them anyway...

My pants never got dirty when I rode. While bell bottoms wouldn't be something I wore; she may have. I've ridden with a string bikini top; never with shorts or without boots; but some people wear shorts of flip flops; sneakers; regular shoes.

My gut says she was on a motorcycle at some point before she died.

There's also a difference between being a biker chick and riding on the back of a motorcycle. I agree, my pants legs didn't get dirty unless it was exceptionally dusty or muddy and I was riding for several hours. I never rode in flipflops but I did ride in sneakers.

Hm, April -- I wonder if they were heading home from spring break? I-75 heads straight down to the Tampa/Clearwater area.

Indications are that she was killed in one location and transported to the location where her body was dumped. The killer would have needed a vehicle other than a motorcycle to transport her body to that location.

So it may be possible that she was into motorcycles, but unlikely IMO that motorcycles were involved in the circumstances of her death.

Unlikely she was transported on a motorcycle? Probably; but its not impossible. If the person had a side car it would be easy. They used to carry dead on horse back.

I suppose it could be done, but it would be very difficult with rigor mortis setting in, or if rigor mortis had not set in, a 130 lb limp body. It certainly is not an effective way to avoid notice.

The people who were carrying the dead on horseback weren't worried about someone noticing that they were transporting a dead person.

Possible she wasn't killed far; the person was running on adrenaline
