just a thought... could it have been boyfriend's mother that was called to ask for permission to enter the house?? since BF out of town working?

would also explain why she then calls her son to tell him what is going on?

just a thought at this point

Good point!

I still find it odd that Tina's manager reported her missing after one missed shift. Was the manager privy to info that would cause greater alarm and panic than normal?

I agree with this as it does seem a bit odd that the manager would call police after Tina was late to work. From experience, my own son disappeared when he was 18. He had never missed work or been late to work. He left home to go wash and vacuum his car and had his work clothes laid out so that he could change as soon as he got back from this errand and make it into work on time. His work called about 25 minutes after his shift began. They were alarmed because he never made it to work and this was very out of character for him. I came home and found his work clothing still laid out.

Still, my husband and I waited until midnight on that same day to report him missing. We figured he was 18 (had just turned 18)....but we were terrified. We spent several hours driving up and down the roads, calling all his friends, and dialing his cell phone. He was found by LE several days later....and they dressed my husband in a bullet proof vest (hubby is a sheriff's office chaplain), they surrounded the location, and when the residents saw the amount of LE there, they ran. Then my husband walked in and brought our son out. Thank goodness for that outcome. Have to say though that nothing has been the same in our lives since then.

If we were hesitant to call cops for our own son, how much more so would a boss be hesitant to call? He had to suspect something more was wrong....

Just talked to MIL that lives in Apple Valley. She does not know Tina but knows of her because they are both involved with assisting an elderly lady that has a home in Apple Valley. The elderly lady is now in a nursing home, her son that lives in NY knows Tina fairly well because Tina helped take care of his elderly mother when she was still living in her home before going to the nursing home. The elderly lady has 3 small dogs that Tina was going to feed every couple days. The elderly lady's son called my MIL alarmed when he learned that Tina was missing last night, he thought there could be a possibility she could be at his mother's house, or possibly taken the car that is in the garage there since she has access to it. Or something could have happened there. However, this is not the case, the elderly lady's home has been checked and no one has been there and the car is still in the garage, Tina has not been there to feed the dogs because they were out of food.

One interesting thing is that the elderly lady's son that lives in NY and visits here frequently to visit his mother and stays at the house in Apple Valley while here, said that Tina told him a few months ago that her house was broken into and ransacked. However, there was never a report to the police of this. Another in-law family works for the pd there and said there is no report of this. Why wouldn't Tina report her home being broken into and ransacked?

This is valuable information, and I'm glad to hear that someone went to the elderly lady's house and checked. If the dogs were out of food, but not starving, that means Tina hadn't been there for a few days, but it wasn't critical........the dogs were probably hungry, but it wasn't a situation where they were in danger.

I find it strange that Tina didn't report that her house was broken into and ransacked. This might figure into what has happened.

There was a lot of confusion in the beginning, but after such a short time searching for them to be looking in the lake, well, there is quite a bit below the surface in this case.

It's not that hard for me to picture a violent person making threats or creating a situation where nobody moves except as they allow.

All we know is there's blood, but I'm betting it tells at least part of a story. JMO, but the most reliable timeline element so far, as to when a problem started, is likely to be the last text from a 13 year old girl.

It seems very unlikely they all rented a big U-Haul truck and took their things. I was kind of hoping that could be a possibility, but that crime scene truck tells me otherwise.

Surely LE will question GB, the bf, about the house being broken into and ransacked previously. As time goes by, I am getting even more alarmed. Was blood found in the truck? That's one thing I would like to know. Also, I would like to know more about Stephanie. What type of work did she do, is her record clear, etc? So much about this case is unknown.

Your idea about the 13 yr old's last text is profound...yes, this was when the problem began. Do we know who she was texting and what she was saying in those texts? Not yet....but I bet LE does. Could they not ping the girl's phone?

I so want to know more about Stephanie too. I can't find a facebook support page for her. Could this all be focus around her? She does seem to have a good supportive family on the Childrens page.

Does anyone know where Greg's mother lives? From what I've pieced together via Google, she may be in Mount Vernon.

There is also Mt Vernon, Oh golf course. Hubby and I stop and play there quite often on our cross country trip to see the grandbaby in PA.

The state Highway Patrol, FBI and Center for Missing and Exploited Children were helping in the investigation, and Barber said the state Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation was continuing to collect evidence at the home.
Barring a major break in the case, Barber said he did not anticipate any further updates until 2 p.m. Sunday.

so whats the weather like in ohio now? im in illinois and its getting pretty cold - do we know if their coats, shoes, purses or any meds were left behind?

also, how did the co-worker gain entry to the home? did she have a key or did she have to break and enter? just wondering because of the statement she made about "having permission to enter".

and one last thought in regard to this guy in ny who has a mother in the nursing home and the dogs that th helped to take care of ... something sounds odd with that ...

Since Tina and her fiance were separated and planning on breaking up, I wonder if Tina was dating someone else?

Also, what time did it get dark? The lights were on when the sheriff was there for the welfare check Wed night, so someone must have been in the house after dark (or as it was getting dark)
