My husband was watching a program on the Discovery Channel about surveillance technology about two weeks ago and I sat down and watched part of it. The FBI has some sort of technology now that they can pick up conversations within a building just by aiming a device at the building. It was demonstrated and it's amazing! Knowing that the FBI is involved in this case, I wonder if LE had enough information (the Walmart receipt and other evidence) to pinpoint MH as the likely suspect and bring in their specialized equipment? They may have picked up MH making demands of Sarah.

When LE found the truck, MH was sitting in his car watching the truck. LE spoke to him. And then ran his plates, ID'ed him, got his prison record, found his address, found his prints on the truck & went to his house & listened.

He thought he was so clever. You can't win with LE - they have years of experience dealing with societies worst.

If there is a trial, it will probably need moved out of this county. Too much emotion involved.

If there is a trial, they will try to seat a jury in Knox County. If they can't seat a jury in Knox County, then they will seek a change of venue to have the trial in another county.

If they're seeking the death penalty, the prosecutor will try to have the trial moved to a county where MH would very likely get the death penalty if convicted.

Coroner: 2 Ohio women, boy stabbed and dismembered

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (AP) -- A coroner says two Ohio women and an 11-year-old boy were stabbed to death before they were dismembered.

Knox County Coroner Jennifer Ogle released the autopsy results Saturday. She says Tina Herrmann, her son Kody Maynard and her friend Stephanie Sprang were attacked with a knife and stabbed multiple times in the back and chest.

Ogle says the bodies were later dismembered, placed inside plastic garbage bags and lowered into the hollow of a large tree in a wildlife preserve.

There were no signs of sexual assault.

Bobby Cutts was a cop, and maybe the jury figured he'd get more justice in general population?

If there is a trial, it will probably need moved out of this county. Too much emotion involved.

I remember the case and him being a police officer at the time. That may have been a factor with the jury, as prisoners don't like cops and he may suffer in general population.

I wouldn't be surprised if this case is moved out of Knox County for trial. But regardless, I think the outcome will be the same.

Has anyone heard anything yet if there is going to be a press conference today?

Also, cannot help but thinking about it....the leaves hanging on the walls of his home, and around the edges inside, yes insulation, and what is insulation? I think he was building a nest. I am sorry if this sounds off key, but I really think that is what he was doing. Squirrels are hunter/gatherers, and the fact he had been collecting leaves for quite sometime, I think nest. I also think perhaps that is why SM may not have been sexually exploited, the nest was not complete.

I also heard when listening to Nancy Grace that he led them to the tree, now that can be taken that he verbally led them. But I remember hearing something here....

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119680&page=16

Post 387...did he take them out and show them the tree, this is not unheard of actually in past cases.

I have alot more input, but getting ready to eat lunch now.... will be back in abit...

Sheriff Barber said during the last presser that MH's attorney gave him the information about where to find the bodies...so MH led them to the tree, but not physically.

Yes, I wondered that, too, and posted about it a few times. Either surveillance or a tip (mom or ex-GF, maybe)...

Stabbing is such a personal death.......IIRC, in OJ case.......
Because the victims blood gets all over you also.
Like a rage of deep personal issues. (hate?)
Then hiding them inside a tree trunk all together,
like in a womb?
dismemberment?
WOW, I can't help but think he has done this before...........
and getting worse every time.

Smooth, the picture you are looking for is in this Nancy Grace Video:

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/2010/11/19/ng.ohio.family.killed.hln

Thank you, Deb for taking the time to help restore what little sanity I have left these days....lol

That pic in my mind was driving me seriously loco...Had come to the conclusion must've dreamed it...which actually does make sense now that I know where the pic came from..Night before last as I was lurking on these many SM threads I finally decided to get and bed and attempt to get a couple hours of sleep..

And lo and behold guess what was being RE-broadcast in those wee early hours of yesterday morning...Nancy Grace Show..

Therefor most likely this pic I described{that you went to the trouble of posting for me}most likely was one of the last things I saw before falling asleep.. And then you have all day long yesterday me spending hours scouring every page, link by link thru my 24 hr History log on my laptop...all the while becoming loonier by the minute as I could not for the life of me locate it

..duh?!! because I didn't see it on my computer..I saw it on TV..:blushing:

Sorry for the several repeat posts but I knew if anyone knew of this pic I described that it'd be one of my fellow WS posters...:blowkiss:

Again, deb{and all others who replied in answering my desperate pleas}

She is probably taking it personally too (small town, not sure if she knew one or more of the victims) and didn't stop until she knew. She is a family physician in town also.

""The autopsies were conducted Friday at the Licking County Coroner’s Office.

“The most challenging and heartbreaking thing I have had to do as coroner is discuss these findings with the families of the deceased victims,” said Ogle. “The truth is often unspeakable, and I sincerely feel for their loss and commend them for their strength and dignity moving forward in this tragedy.”

The autopsy revealed no signs of sexual assault.""

Obviously, I underestimated her. But it is because I am a layperson and my experience has been that it takes longer for autopsy results to be announced.

I simply thought that with multiple victims, it would take longer. Plus all the speculation that there might have been different COD's, etc., and even just reading the news, sometimes it takes weeks to determine COD.

Bravo, Dr. Jennifer Ogle and team. Thank you.

from your link --

Pejsa, the uncle of Herrmann's former live-in boyfriend, said he was the first person allowed inside the home after investigators cleared the scene. He said he brought bottles of bleach to clean blood from the bathroom so that his nephew wouldn't have to see it.

"It was terrible," he said of the blood. "Everything led back to the bathroom."

This is awful -- the DQ mgr had to have seen something horrible & Uncle Joe had to clean it up.

I'm sick all over again w/ what MH did to those innocent people...poor Sarah and the families.
