I don’t think it will be him... I believe he will be found much closer (if he is found) and that his remains will be skeletal. :(

It's not very close the Easton Hilton area but I noticed that location is near a strip club: Google Maps

Do we know which strip club they went to the night Tyler disappeared?

they were at The Doll House on Karl road at rt 161, about 5-7 miles north of Easton as noted in the Columbus dispatch on 6.12.19.

Thanks. Then it seems unlikely this is Tyler. MOO.

How does a body go unnoticed in that area for such a long time! I've been to that Casino in the past year. It does seem that transients may traverse the area. But there is grass to cut etc there. Just don't see how it could go unnoticed.

Not to sound gross but if he was close unless buried the smell would be bad. That’s why I think that he was taken somewhere. He was close too which makes this even more perplexing. His family says there is no way he would leave and I agree but that’s the only way he would still be alive. I pray he’s out there somewhere no matter what the reason.

One year ago today. We haven't forgotten about him, Brittany. If you're reading this, know that we're thinking of you and your son.

Approx. 28 minutes from where Tyler was last seen...
Authorities investigating skeletal remains found in Delaware

My thoughts: That's a long distance from where he was last seen, even if it's just 28 mins in a car. If it's Tyler, he was taken there in some kind of vehicle for sure. Delaware County is pretty affluent, so they don't have a lot of murders. Whoever dumped that body there was familiar with the area, and confident they could drive around with a body and dump it without being detected. Tyler had on white nike shoes, and the remains have "tennis shoes", so that matches up . But the remains had a backback "nearby". I can't find anything online about Tyler having a backpack on him. I'd be surprised if it turns out to be Tyler. But I'm surprised that there is a body found in that part of central Ohio.

Edit: As an Ohioan , I want to mention how weird it is that Delaware Co. relies on Montgomery Co. for autopsies. Montgomery is the city of Dayton's county. It's a hour or so to the west. Why rely on them when Franklin Co. is right next door with Columbus? Weird. Maybe Franklin Co's coroner is too busy :(

The city of Delaware isn’t as affluent as the southern part of the county, but we don’t often have bodies/bones found. These remains were found in my neighborhood. There is a man missing from near downtown (2 miles north, straight up Sandusky St) since January 3rd. He has a thread here, Clyde Britton. There is also a man missing from the nursing facility at Willow Brook, if you go directly south on Winston Rd, it’s right there. About 1/4 of a mile. He has been missing since July.

We’ve recently had a lot of rain and warmer temps, that may have exposed the remains? I will go check out the area tomorrow. I tried to drive back there last night, but the police had Winston Rd blocked off a few hundred yards before the scene.

I think about Tyler often. I know there’s many reasons it can be death by misadventure, but I still can’t shake the feeling that it’s foul play. JMO

Hey everyone! So today I went up to the Easton Town Center to drive around and look for places where Tyler might be found. I did this before back in June. I am going stir crazy from WFH, so I had to go for a drive, although I'm very thankful to have a job that I can WFH.

Anyway, I think there are two areas that need to be searched again, or searched for the first time if they haven't been already. The trees are greening up quite a bit now. One area is the woods west of Easton Square Pl., east of Oak Spring St. , and south of Vision Dr. There is an Abbot Lab building to the east of it. The trees are pretty dense and there's a body of water in it.

The other is the body of water and the woods that we've talked about before. It's the area southeast of Sunbury Dr. and Morse Rd. The water looks pretty deep, and looks like a spooky swamp. And the woods around it are not only very dense, but it's a steep hill from the water to the rear of Lowe's and Target buildings. Searching it would be very difficult any time of year.

I know we've see a map of the areas they searched, but have they been searched again or just once? Websleuthers know how bodies have been found in places already searched. And were they searched by pro searchers? Or were they just friends of the family, untrained in how to properly search of a body?

More than ever I really believe Tyler's body is nearby and that he died from the elements after getting lost.

I stumbled onto this case via true crime society article. This young man was impaired, but not a runaway. There are several youtube podcasts and interviews for which I was eager to watch, but there are zero comments to most. Seems very few are aware or can add much to the conversation. Can't believe it's been over a year and his remains have not been found.

If it's foul play, I can only see the wife or friend being responsible. He was way too drunk/impaired to do anything other than pass out. His wife passed a poly and her movements have been dissected in regards to hotel video in relation to text and cell phone pings.

Don't know as much about the friend, I admit. I'd like to assume the same interrogation has been done with him. But I'm super new to this case, so can't say with any certainty.

Please share your theory!

So, if the last call he made was at 4:10am (where Brittany talks to him and he says he is close to the hotel) and 4:11am for the 4 seconds of silence...why is 3:53am the last spot marked on the map from LE at the press conference in October?

I am in the Columbus, Ohio area and just drove this on Sunday. From almost anywhere Tyler was you can see the iconic top of the Hilton which is white and very brightly lit at night. And in Feb, there would be no leaves, so even more visible.

The indications of the map are that he his headed back towards the hotel. If he continued walking towards the hotel between 3:54am and 4:10am, he was likely close to the hotel when Brittany talked to him at 4:10am when he said he was close, unless he had somehow started going in the wrong direction away from the hotel after he was already going in the right direction (which I am not ruling out, he sounded pretty intoxicated in the recording). But, he asked for directions before the 3:53am mark and is headed diagonally in the right direction.

Anyone know why that part of the map (3:53am to 4:11am) is not marked? I suspect LE is not releasing that info, but why would they keep it to themselves unless they did suspect some sort of foul play was involved and it could be evidence?

In addition, do we have any sort of time for when Schon leaves Tyler and when he arrives back to the hotel? Or a landmark for where Tyler was when Schon left and headed the other direction?
