I’m local to Columbus. The media coverage on this has been pretty much non existent. That certainly wasn’t the case with Joey Labute or Brian Shaffer. This really makes me speculate that the PD knows exactly what happened and is just working on proving it. With Joey and Brian the pd were actively talking with the media, telling about searches, updating on details of the case, asking public to come forward with any details, etc. Nothing here. It all just makes the strange story from the wife less believable. I also find it funny that she’s so quick to say “yes this whole situation is strange!” but when anyone questions a strange detail they are banned from the Facebook group. Odd. Odd. Odd.

I have mixed feelings about this. First of all if you really have something to hide, you don't go on 'true crime garage' cause those guys are pro's with a loooottt of listeners.

That being said, for me she's hard to listen to cause I'm not a native English speaker and she's all over the place and I often have trouble hearing what she says.
Further more she's not a person I would like to hang out with, I'll just leave it at that.

But do I think they hurt Tyler? No, I don't think so. Is there a lot of poor judgement here? Yes, I think so. Tyler shouldn't have been out there without a coat and in that condition, drunk, disorientated, confused, pissed off and what not.

It's a good thing she did the interview, but unfortunately there are still questions I think she should have answered (better).

It also bothers me, if you read on the Facebook
Page, that she constantly protects this friend. Put yourself in that position and it would seem to me that the main goal would be to be protecting your husband and finding out where he was the friend would not be of any concern. She even go so far as to say that she will not Release his name because he is “going through a lot” who cares! This seems pathological to me . Your husband is missing!! Wake up! Not someone I would hang out with either.

After listening to the podcast i am leaning towards unfortunate accident. Probably drunk walking looking at his phone and fell into the construction that is being done all over easton - so sad.

That being said, a couple of things made me go hmmmm during the True Crime Garage Podcast.

First, BD says that the friend came over to the hotel and they hung out in the room for a couple of HOURS before heading out. She says she was 'getting ready' and they were 'watching some really trashy tv' hmmmmmm from my experience in hotels before going out a couple of guys would probably go down to the bar (there is a lobby bar at the Hilton at Easton) rather than hang out for a couple hours in a tiny room. Wonder what was really going on

Second, Tyler fell so asleep on the way home that he woke up and did not know where he was. This was, by all accounts, a 17 minute uber ride. How sound asleep could he get? I mean I guess if you are exhausted but this is a grown man not a toddler. He threw a fit about being woken up in the uber and ran away? hmmmmmm

I don't know what I believe happened but after the podcast episode I do not believe the wife is being honest. She is literally ALL over the place with unimportant excessive details. I don't think it's nerves from being on the podcast, to me, it seems like signs of lying or withholding information. She's also casually speaking as if we're not talking about her missing husband. It's so odd.

I also just want to point out it is NOT weird to go to strip clubs together. Most strippers are nasty anyway, it's just for the fun atmosphere. So let's drop this topic of how weird it is to go there.

That has always been my issue as well. How much of a personality change could have really taken place on a short Uber ride?

So many not relevant details, but when they get to the most important details, they aren't there .

Tyler says he's walking through the woods. I would have made him describe where he was exactly, how he ended up there etc. What he was doing there, if he was alone. Same with the silent call. Was it pure silence, could she hear breathing, walking, moaning, the wind, what?

I kinda hope Gray Hughes picks up on this. He does missing people cases/crime on YouTube. That's the 'Google Earth guy'. He's really good at reconstruction where someone could have gone/disappeared.

And when we consider if she is being dishonest and we take out every bit of information SHE has provided then what do we actually know? That they returned to the Hilton early that morning (as evidenced by the cctv cameras). That is it! Did cameras show him leave?
We also know there were phone calls placed around that time and if she is being dishonest, then who knows what the contents of these calls are.

In the craziness of the Facebook page(s) war, I found something interesting. BD posted (before the Bring Tyler Home Facebook page was turned into a private group) that she was not going to release the name of the friend but then on the new FB page (that the family is angry about) she allows her friend to go on and release the name. Why?

In the interviews she says it took a few minutes for Tyler to get out of the Uber. And the Uberdriver even got agitated.

I'm here after listening to part one of the podcast too. I am so torn after hearing the account. I agree there is a casual, callousness about it that seems so strange...I would expect an emotional appeal of some sort or talk of how he is missed. Then again, we don't know how much was edited. I will say the fact that she continually refers to him in the present tense as if he is just on a trip makes me feel better. Usually, when a person speaks of someone in the past tense it indicates their knowledge/belief the person is deceased.

I am curious if nearby bodies of water have been searched. I believe he stumbled into a deadly accident.

I would definitely say he passed out, not just fell asleep & she did say that the Uber driver was getting aggravated, so when she & the friend got Tyler out of the car he was basically still asleep. That could explain the confusion. And if he was passed out; I’m sure he doesn’t even remember the car ride, so maybe thats why he didn’t think they were back at the hotel. A lot of people are grumpy when woke up, I could definitely see a drunk man being woken up from passing out getting angry. ‍ I too at first suspected the friend, but now I am leaning more towards a freak accident...my gut tells me that they need to check (or recheck) the pond.

Brittany is very thorough and descriptive. The podcasters even point out she may be too descriptive or nervous from just being on the podcast.
Tyler was adamant they weren’t in the right place. She says he started walking toward the condos if you walk left out of the Hilton.
(Wondering if they are checking ring/nest doorbells)

Listening to it right now...doesn't seem too odd they went to a strip club. Unless, he was dosed at the club, I still think drunken misadventure accident or fell asleep and died of hyperthermia.

I just listened to the True Crime Garage podcast. One thing that stood out to me is when she said she thought Tyler was just “burning off some steam”. She never indicated before that he was mad, just that he was cranky from being woken up. Makes me think they had a fight, but she doesn’t want to disclose that. I believe the rest of her story, but she should just say they had a fight if they had a fight.

I’ve thought from the beginning that they were all super super drunk. That’s why I don’t think the story is strange at all. I wonder if Tyler was “drunk sleepwalking”—being awakened after a short sleep can make you extremely confused when drunk. He was falling down, adamant they were in the wrong place, angry, and stomped off in a huff. He could have completely woken up a few blocks away and had no idea where he was or how he got there. Then, embarrassed he called his wife and says he can see the hotel & he’ll be right there. Maybe he could see it or maybe he really couldn’t. Maybe he was irrationally mad at the friend when he saw him and refused to talk to him. I don’t know, but the friend was also probably wasted and wasn’t exactly effective at getting Tyler to calm down. His friend leaving when he did doesn’t surprise me if he was also wasted and it’s freaking 4 in the morning and his belligerent friend won’t come back to the hotel. I’m sure he feels like crap now about leaving, but who would think an adult man would really be in danger? He probably thought he would come back any minute and he wasn’t going to hang around any longer. One big drunk cluster you-know-what.
Unfortunately I think Tyler had an accident in the state he was in and he’ll eventually be found somewhere around there. It’s surprising how many drunk guys disappear and aren’t found right away.

I'm leaning towards drunken misadventure also.
