Authorities haven't said why they're searching the lake, but Wanda Lemon's mother says it is a search for her daughter's remains. Lemon is one of two women from the Chillicothe area who are still missing.

Diana Willett, Lemon's mom, says she was told authorities got an anonymous top (sic) that Lemon's body had been dumped in Ross Lake after a lethal overdose in November, 2016.

An anonymous tip has had led to a diving search team in Ross Lake today.
The Chillicothe Gazette reports law enforcement and the newspaper received a tip through Facebook claiming that the body of one of the area's missing women was dumped into Ross Lake.
Sheriff George Lavender confirmed to the Gazette this morning that search teams from Ross and Franklin counties would begin a search of the lake 10am for the body of Wanda Lemons, reported missing in December 2015.

I grew up in Chillicothe and visit there a few times a year, have fished at Ross Lake many times. It used to feel like a safe smallish town but it's full of drugs now I think. I know I don't feel too safe there the last few years, but my family is still there so I go anyway.

We have been to Chillicothe several times through the years and always enjoyed being there .. ... until our last trip about 2 summers ago. we were shocked at how much it seemed to have deteriorated. So many young to middle age that seem to be without jobs or really, really poor; houses in worse shape, the smell of drugs in the air in some places. We came home and read up a bit on the area and we're surprised a how much more crime has come to the area.

From today: http://www.10tv.com/article/day-2-searching-missing-chillicothe-woman-comes-end

CHILLICOTHE -- Ross County search and rescue teams spent all of Saturday searching for the remains of Wanda Lemons.

"There's days where I have my meltdown," Diana Willett, Lemons' mother said.

Willett spent the last two days alongside family and friends at Ross Lake as divers searched for Lemons.

"It's been three years almost and I want closure.ut I don't want this kind of closure," said Willett.

Willett was informed of a new tip received by police on Friday.

"Yesterday was the hardest because it was my birthday," Willett said. "I was by myself with my dog and they called me ... I fell to the floor."

Family members and friends say they now want justice to be served and the criminal responsible held accountable.

"That's just one man I hope to be able to face one day so, I can tell him how I feel," said Willett.

Ross County authorities ended their search Saturday evening around 5:30 p.m. They say they do not yet know when the search will continue.

[h=1]Missing woman's mom dreamed her daughter was in water[/h]
CHILLICOTHE – Diana Willett never imagined her birthday Friday would be spent sitting at Ross Lake watching officials search for the remains of her daughter Wanda Lemons.

She had a vivid dream on Thursday night, though, of Wanda being in the water.

“It was just like it was real like I could see her in the water. And then this morning I got the phone call and sure enough my dream is becoming a reality,” Willett said.

Search continues: http://www.chillicothegazette.com/s...ollowing-tip-related-missing-woman/735497001/

Lieutenant Mike Preston, of the sheriff's office, confirmed the department was searching in the 1400 block of Paugh Road in Bainbridge and they were searching "several hundred acres."

According to Preston, the search follows a tip associated with the Missing Women's Task Force that one of the missing women's remains may be in the area. Preston could not confirm the identity of the woman, citing the ongoing investigation.

Wanda Lemons was reported missing in December 2014 but was last seen by her mother on Oct. 3, 2014, and a friend on Nov. 3, 2014. Charlotte Trego was reported missing on May 18, 2014, who said she hadn't seen her in two weeks at that time.

Medical Conditions Lemons has a history of drug abuse.
Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Brown hair, blue eyes. Lemons has a scar on her right leg, which is damaged from a car accident. She has multiple tattoos, including dolphins forming a heart shape on her lower back, and her ears are pierced. Her previous surnames were Hodges and Jackson.

Details of Disappearance
Lemons was last seen in Chillicothe, Ohio on November 3, 2014; her last communications with her family were messages to her adult daughter via text and Facebook.

A friend stated he saw Lemons on the day of her disappearance and that he heard she'd gone to Texas with an African-American male truck driver named Darius or Demarcus Thomas. She frequents the Galveston, Texas area.

Lemons has never been heard from again. Although she's been known to be out of touch with her family, it's uncharacteristic of her to not call or visit them over the holidays.

Her disappearance may be connected to the disappearances of Megan Lancaster, Holly Logan, Jayme Bowen and Charlotte Trego, and the deaths of Tameka Lynch and Tiffany Sayre. All the women were involved with drugs, some of them had places and people in common, and Trego, Lemons, Lynch and Sayre all disappeared from the same city in the same one-year period.

Trego and Lynch, who were friends, went missing on the same day: May 3, 2014. Lynch's body was found in Paint Creek three weeks after her disappearance; the autopsy determined she'd died of multiple drug overdoses and the manner of death was undetermined. Lemons disappeared six months later, and on May 11, 2015, Sayre disappeared. Her body was found in a creek on June 19; she'd been murdered.

There's speculation that a serial killer could be behind the disappearances and deaths, but no suspects have been named in any of the cases. They remain unsolved.

Does anyone know when Wanda married her last husband?
Not sure if there was another marriage after this but she married JL in 2007 and divorced in 2009.
