Skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites in Warren.

The hotel is located at 4258 Youngstown Road. The remains were located about 100 yards from the hotel parking lot...

Police said the remains were under a partially collapsed tree. Clothing and tennis shoes were found near the remains, which were confirmed to be human.

Skeletal remains don't smell though. And decomposition was probably going on during the late fall/winter when people wouldn't be near the find location. The parking lot is big and not very busy, and there's nothing else near the find location where people would go.

I would think they have an educated guess about this being a male or female from the shoes/clothing, honestly.
