A jury convicted Loinell Dangerfield of murder and one count of felonious assault, but jurors acquitted him on aggravated murder and another count of felonious assault...

Prosecutors said Dangerfield offered several explanations for what might have happened to the child, but an autopsy revealed previous fractures and other injuries, in addition to those that caused her death.

Judge Ralph Winkler sentenced Dangerfield to 15 years to life in prison. He's already served two of those years while awaiting trial.
