OK - 10-year-old Girl Escapes Abductor, Texhoma, January 2007

  • #21
I'm curious about the MO. The kidnapper drove 200 miles with Marrisa. Was he driving toward familiar territory/home or away from it?

There's an idiom about 50 miles being the preferred distance for a kidnapping and/or disposal of a body. This case is way past that distance. Why?

Are there that many dark purple registered vehicles with similar description in the 300 mile range of where Marrisa was kidnapped?

I'm also curious and wonder just how much gas he purchased in Clovis, if he had driven awhile before changing over to the purple vehicle, and if the little girl might have heard another voice while inside the vehicle. Either there is someone else involved, he lives between Texhoma and Clovis and has another vehicle, or he borrowed someone else's vehicle.I find it hard to believe that he lives in Clovis because he took a big chance by stopping to get gas with the girl in the vehicle. Maybe Clovis is halfway to another location such as El Paso or Roswell. I think this case deserves serious sleuthing on boards and a big non stop investigation by LE in all surrounding states because it could indicate a ring of pedophiles and this guy will do this again and is a horrible danger.

I wonder where this guy has traveled over the past few years. I didn't see any kind of sketch for him.

Makes you wonder doesn't it? Tied up and driven 200 miles? Seems like that was planned and reasonably thought out. Not a one time thing, IMO. But he likely left the area, which makes you wonder if he responsible for one or more of the many, many, cases similar in nature since then.

This is great news... but I feel a urgently to find this guy before we are sleuthing another
missing child case. WE NEED A SKETCH NOW!

do we think he stole the vechicle?

Snip
Her abductor later moved her into a purple vehicle, possibly a minivan or a hatchback.
