Found Deceased OK - Aja Johnson, 7, Geronimo, 24 January 2010 - #2

I'm wondering how Hobbs' could afford to purchase a brand new RV, just weeks before this insanity occurred?

In the AMW article it states:

Lester Hobbs bought a brand new RV in early 2010, which he parked on his sister’s property in Geronimo, Okla.

So... this purchase had to have occurred between January 1 and January 23rd...so, where did he get the money and/or financing to do so? And more importantly, does that mean he has / had money when he left with Aja?

Or...is this a mistake in the AMW story?

I believe he was working at the time and didn't own a car, so the RV would have been the only thing he had to spend his money on. Don't know how he would have gotten financing unless he bought it from one of those "tote the note" places.

That and cigarettes and alcohol. Not the most costly of habits out there, but still costly.

I've e-mailed Tx and OK service station associations for help in distributing posters. Hopefully, I'll hear back from them tomorrow. If not I'll follow up with phone calls. Still trying to locate the organizations for the other states (if they exist).

I'll see the manager from my fuel supplier Wed. or Thurs. I'll pick his brain for the easiest way to get the posters out to gas stations. What I'm looking to do is get the flyers to fuel suppliers and have them dropped of when fuel is delivered. Stations are more apt to put them up that way.

Thank you darlin but dang, I need that plate. Maybe I can trace the type of trailer....and who he bought it from.
ETA- seems to me that might be a trace to follow, especially if it was a 'friend.'

Anyone have access to a quick list of local used car/rv places with bills of sale during that month period? or as Oriah asked- one of thre many car/truck/r/v handouts they have at gas stations and conveniences stores with pics of an rv like the one pictured with a red line across it listed as "sold"?

IMO the RV Lester bought was only "new" to him. By the looks of the RV it seems maybe it might be late 70's here is a pic, I bet he only paid like $2000.00 max for that thing and that would be pushing it

I watched quite a few old videos / footage before I posted my question about the RV and wasn't able to find a license plate in any of the pics...but am still looking.

I knew the RV looked old and never really thought much about it, re: price, purchase, etc.; until going back and rewatching footage for any possible relevant information that I missed previously; and saw the mention of the "brand new RV" on AMW.

When I read it again today, it infuriated me initially; because of all of the incorrect information that was released initially and early on about Aja, (i.e., name, age, vehicle thought to be traveling in, etc.)...anyway, that's what piqued my interest...so, now I'm fixated on the RV, as is also "someone else"...Oriah :angel:...I think.

Let me check a few things out on this RV and see if we can't get some information...I will get back with you all.

Also, Oriah, the WU trail, IMO, is something that should certainly be looked into...I have often wondered about the WU or any other money wire activity with him. I also wonder if he had 2 OK DL's, which is why he didn't mind leaving one in the trailer. I know you're not "supposed" to have 2, but if you temporarily lose one and get another in the meantime...then you end up with 2...wonder how I know...LOL

That and you can easily get two ID's that most people never discern from a DL....a state ID for those w/o DL's, and a reg DL. Also, depending on locale you most certainly can get 2 valid DL's or state ID cards. Wonder how I know, lol.

Remember, the next day after Hobbs kidnapped Aja, he had a court appearance for a DUI - I doubt he had a driver's license. He probably has several sets of ID's for being on the run and for his multiple DUI's. moo
