I don't think it was a crime of opportunity, random crime, nor a trafficking case. She was murdered by one of her new sophisticated "friends".

As is often the case, girls this age not as wise as they think they are. They are easily taken advantage of.

This is indeed a tragedy.

I am also thinking the same.

There is no doubt in my mind that some of those "friends" know what happened and they are not talking. Which is a tragedy in itself. No value on life these days. So sad. I hope someone comes clean eventually.

I think one or more of these "friends" must have given LE information that led them to classify this as a homicide.

168 Children Rescued In Sex-Trafficking Crackdown: FBI

WASHINGTON (AP) — Nearly 170 victims of child sex trafficking, many of whom had never been reported missing, were rescued in the last week as part of an annual nationwide crackdown, the FBI said Monday.

Besides the 168 children rescued from the sex trade, 281 pimps were arrested during the same period on state and federal charges.

"These are not faraway kids in faraway lands," FBI Director James Comey said in announcing the annual enforcement push known as Operation Cross Country. Instead, he added, "These are America's children." Snipped.

Just saw Annie Jo's missing poster tacked up next to the register at the CVS on the corner of MacArthur & Northwest Expressway.

Still nothing on this pretty young girl? Praying for her family...

Me too! I'm always thinking of Annie Jo. I hope something happens soon. Either find her or some justice!!!

Have read all the posts pertaining to this case in the last couple of days and I keep coming back to the apartment and those that were there. I feel like some here that more went on besides watching movies. The last text message that was erased by the recipient I feel plays a key role in her disappearance. Where was her car parked when she went to the apartment? Video cameras in the area? No witnesses see her leave the apartment or video of her car or her after she supposedly left?..just thoughts..

I totally agree. It appears LE must have been satisfied with what answers they got, and don't plan to revisit that whole scenario IMO.

Searching is good, even if nothing is found, it gets media attention. Someone knows something, someone may have heard something...

I think in this case there are people (underaged) who know something and are hiding behind lawyers.

What I could never understand is why don't those who have some info just have it typed out and sent to investigators anonymously? Names, places, events and times just so the investigation gets a foothold and proceed to find this child.
