Not the way to celebrate making it to the Western Conference finals, needless to say.

Multiple people shot downtown after Oklahoma City Thunder game (Daily Oklahoman)
At least eight people were wounded by gunfire shortly after the Oklahoma City Thunder game Monday night.
UPDATE 7:15 a.m. One victim was in critical condition when ambulance crews took patients to hospitals, said Lara O'Leary, Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman Tuesday morning. A pregnant woman was either kicked or hit in the abdomen, she said. Seven gunshot victims were found at the scene across several block around Reno Avenue and Mickey Mantle Drive, O'Leary said. There were about 5,000 people out in the area when the gunfire rang out, she estimates.. While one patient was critical late Monday, the other seven were "stable" O'Leary said Tuesday morning.

Six still hospitalized in good condition; one still critical.
UPDATE 10:55 a.m.
“It's just unfortunate that we have such great things, and then someone creates an atmosphere that causes bodily harm to other citizens. But I think the city of Oklahoma City should be proud of what we've accomplished in reference to the NBA and what is done on a national basis for this state and this city,” Ward 7 Councilman Skip Kelly said during Tuesday’s city council meeting.
Uh, yeah, Skip, like, great, but when eight people get shot in your downtown area, perhaps any sort of mention about your b-ball team's success is a bit misplaced at this time - the damn morning after.

In the process of - in the classic words of the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan - "defining deviancy downward," we've come to expect - and almost accept - celebrations involving fistfights, smashed windows, a couple cop cars turned upside down and even set ablaze, etc., but actual gunplay in downtown OKC during a celebration of a conference semi-finals victory? Good God.
