The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a man they say was last seen on March 20.
Officials say Chad Hepler, 38, was last seen in the Canton area of Cherokee County in the Cypress Cove area earlier this week. Chad is 6-foot-5 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. He is likely driving a newer model black in colour Toyota Corolla. His clothing is unknown.

The actual court records are here from the Cherokee County Clear of Courts. One of the conditions of his bond was he submit to a psych evaluation. The accusation document says he "in a non violent manner" violated a prior family violence order by contacting (named party) by text message. It was classified as a misdemeanor.

The notice of calendar call document states he was to appear before the Judge on June 11. I can't tell if he did appear or not but a trial date was set for later this year. https://cherokeeclerkofcourt.com/mainpage.aspx

I am confused. If he was booked into jail on Mar. 31st 2024. How is he missing from Mar. 20th 2024?

I double checked the court records in case the Georgia Gazette had an error in their reporting but the booking date listed in the article matches the arrest date in the official court records. March 20th was listed as the "date last seen" but perhaps they meant seen by those that reported him missing (loved one or family member)? I did see that his attorney made an appearance FOR HIM in early April -you have to open up the court records linked previously https://cherokeeclerkofcourt.com/mainpage.aspx so he's likely talking to his attorney but not wanting contact with anyone, in my opinion.
