The two MSM sources have only echoed the sheriff's statement. No independent reporting.
At least it's something.

I'm not treating the family's info as third party in most circumstances. For instance, when the stepmom says she called Daryn on the evening of the 26th, I consider that as good a fact as we're going to get. But if she writes that Daryn and his brother went back to Daryn's to pick up a backpack, then she only knows this because the brother told her, and I think it is on less solid ground info-wise. Same as if she relates something that JJ has told her. If LE tells her something and she relates it, that seems solid. But if she writes that JJ has told her that LE said something, then no. I believe the stepmother, but I have no reason to trust that she has good judgement about whether other people are telling the truth or not or whether they are remembering correctly.
Did that make sense to anyone?
But there was a license plate found under the seat...... Do you think it was a "Dealer Tag" plate that should have been in the back window when showing this car before it was sold? You know, like when you take a car for a test drive at the auto dealer, they have to put a temporary metal tag in the back window?
That tag could easily be an Oklahoma tag, if the car was purchased through a dealer in Oklahoma and just forgot to be taken out? In My Opinion......
Do people even carjack 6-year-old, orange Dodge Nitros? Not a popular car to steal and not a good choice for stealth driving.
The initial comment that you said you were skittish about was asking about adding the info re Daryn's dad getting the call from Daryn's employer on Wednesday, May 29:
"Can we/shall we add Daryn's boss calling his dad to say he hadnt showed up on the Monday or Tuesday to the timeline, Steadfast?"
I can understand being wary of SHC putting too much faith in the words of people she doesn't really know who have assured her that they know Daryn...believe me I am right there in that camp alongside ya. But in this instance, we are talking about a conversation her husband had with Daryn's boss. Daryn's dad. Her husband. The event that precipitated all subsequent events. Unless I'm totally misreading this and I in fact am the third party because I am the one that verified the information with the family?
I'll leave it up to ya'll to decide what goes in and what stays out and under what terms which happens when. I mentioned upthread (post 460 I think) that I have notified the family that the questions I submitted this afternoon will be the last ones I submit unless and until there is a major break in the case. Hopefully by then they'll be so much MSM that we do not have to ask Daryn's folks one single thing. Part of my decision to quit asking them to verify information was because I too, frankly, have seen SHC pummeled like a rag doll and played like a fiddle "over there," and I am reluctant to accept anything she verifies based on what she's been told by certain parties.
I had another paragraph here that argued in favor of posting information of a conversation between her husband and the employer and relayed to her by her husband, but in light of certain recent private, personal interactions with the family, I will just say that I will certainly accept your decision to go straight LE/MSM from here on out and just leave it at that.
You're never the 3rd party, Mytee! :blowkiss:
Daryn attended the ren fair 5/18 and 5/19? Is this correct? Looked at tons taken the previous weekend. Lol. Was it mentioned on WS if they were in costume? I have additional ones from that weekend I can look at, but I didn't realize how many people attended. Is there also an online source for pictures? I think I saw one linked, but as usual my WS search isn't working. TIA
(Clang-clang) And it's 8:35 a.m. here in Okie-land, no new MSM.
Two formidable foes to garnering attention for this case: in OK, it's pretty near summer, and people have begun to drown in our lakes and rivers while jumping right in, noodling for catfish, driving boats wrecklessly, and just plain cramping up. So the media's full of 'em. Meanwhile, in Pac NW-land, the naked teen from Vancouver who left camp on "a spiritual quest" has not been found AND, as that's in Skamania County WA, just across the border from Hood River County OR, it's been dominating the "missing person" slot in local coverage there.
