I think Darraby is his nickname and Pulse is the Fursona, the Character. I can get additional clarification shortly.

oh no oh no oh no. if this is Daryn, someone just needed a car to get to OR. But why? and where is Gypsy? I had a "Gypsy" once. She was a tortoise shell. Oh Daryn, I hope this isn't you... but alas, it IS someone.

When I see Gypsy here, I see a tortoise shell in my mind - neighbor had a sweet tortoise shell named Gypsy! Praying Daryn and his Gypsy are found safe and unharmed soon.

By the way, I meant to ask earlier:

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/show/20432

Wonder why NaMus has not been updated to include the vehicle information? I know it was pointed out to family members that this needed to be done...pointed out several times in fact. Anyone know of a reason why NaMus would not include the updated info re the car being found? TIA!!!

Although I think Namus is a wonderful idea, it's really not run as it should be. I found quite a few errors when looking for someone. I knew of a man who had been found and he was still listed as missing on there after months. So I looked at some more I knew had been found, Namus still had them missing. Not sure how or by whom or when it's updated, but one particular state had a lot of problems with updates. Maybe it's up to the PD that listed it to do it, and they don't bother or think to. But it should be a requirement and a regular notice sent out to remind them.

Just did some prelim net searches for Pulse, Cat, Darraby, etc. in some furry forum site member searches but there are a TON of forums out there. I would love it if someone in the know (possibly the gf) could remember what websites he hung out in. It is possible he told someone his plans.

More of the "fursona" stuff needs passing on to NamUs as well. While the "fingernails filed down to points and a titanium metal claw point set into the acrylic of his left thumb nail" is there, the fur nickname needs to be added, as does the whole emphasis on Furry Fandom. These are important details, one would think.

I can help! Just don't want to duplicate effort. Say where!

Portabella is coordinating the effort and has the specific geographic assignments, information to be conveyed during a call, information to include in the follow-up emails, what to attach, etc. :)

I contacted NamUS about another case and less than 24 hours later I got a response back. It wasn't to update info though, but for them to pass along some info for a UID case, and I thought that was rather quick, but not as quick as the Kentucky State Police. I sent info about a UID case, and in Five Minutes I got a Thank You back!!!! :)

Wow, Treelights! That's pretty impressive and lots more like it, eh??!!! Thanks for the info!!!!

Just spoke with JJ. She gave me some additional Info. Daryn's Fursona (furry character) was a tiger and his name within the Furry Community was Pulse. I hope this gives everyone a little more info to go on.

Is this in addition to Daryn's Fursona of a cat named Darraby, or to replace the previous information of Daryn's Fursona being a cat named Darraby?

Funny about your Gypsy being a tortoise shell, Az, because when I think of this Gypsy, I envision her as a tortoise shell! :)

Sure would be nice to have a picture of this Gypsy to send to the facilities along with the other information.

So does Daryn have Two Fursona's? Darraby and Pulse?

The family told me cat costume, [not fursuit], and Darraby for name. I can see someone getting confused about cat versus tiger, but getting "Pulse" and "Darraby" confused? I dunnow. :sheesh:

Looks like, per the FAQ, it's the person that registers to be the updater? Maybe the updaters just fail to go in and list the person as found, ya think? Maybe they get so excited/depressed that their loved one was found that they simply don't think to take the final step in NaMus. But you are correct...that can be so bothersome to be working on a missing case and think you have a match only to realize the person is deceased. It wastes the time of sleuthers and authorities. :)

With all of us envisioning her as a tortoise shell, she just must be a tortoise shell!

For sure*...once the business of the Fursona(s) is cleared up.

Odd that the "fursona" name Pulse does not appear at all on the FB page, at least that I can find.

I envision her as being a beautiful black kitty....:)
