Iva Koopman’s niece says she believes the boyfriend is holding her hostage.

“He was abusive,” said Amanda Lord. “He stabbed her. She went to the hospital. She didn’t want to press charges because she was too scared.”

Lord says her aunt did end up leaving her boyfriend, but he came back.

“She packed her stuff and left, and when he got here he burned the whole place down. And no one has seen her or him.”

Koopman's family believes her boyfriend attacked her, she then went to the home to pack. They believe he got angry and set the house on fire. Records show he's a convicted sex offender in Texas.

I'm hoping, too, for a good conclusion to this -- her poor family. I don't use Facebook, so I know nothing about her children -- at least it sounds like she has children. Does anyone know how old they are and where they are?

Prayers -- this woman just appeals to me somehow... She deserves some good luck and help from where ever it can be found.

At 6:35 am, multiple 911 calls alerted our dispatchers that a house near Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and East 46th Street North was fully involved with flames. ... Crews say they responded to a fire at the same vacant house just a few weeks earlier. No injuries.

It is .1 miles from where she was last seen or a 2 minute walk.

I am wondering how well they've searched the property. Jacquelin Terrulli went missing at the time of a house fire and her remains were found eight months later on the same property.

Her missing photo posted above is a mugshot. I found two other mugshots from 2019 arrests. Could there be a chance she's out on bond and is voluntarily missing? That's not good but it's way better than the alternative of her boyfriend possibly harming her. Be safe Iva.

sex offender and domestic (extreme) violence, should be locked up for good as he could very well have some murder victims down the line if he doesn’t already
