I am in shock, as probably everyone else is. Who would've thought they would be found so soon after the McStays, if at all? If I was a religious person, I'd say this is an amazingly miraculous coincidence.

Now to justice for both families.

May God comfort the Jamison’s family and friends after this sad news.

The discovery of their bodies near their truck isn’t shocking to me.
-The original searches were allegedly extensive, but the Jamison's bodies were 3 miles from their truck where the searches would have started. It seems unlikely that the searches would have covered a 3-mile radius from their truck. In addition, that area is very hilly and difficult to search.
-The Jamisons told their minister that they were being haunted by demons and harassed by witches. They spray painted illogical demon and witch statements on the storage container sitting in their driveway. They spray painted similar religious statements on abandoned junk cars at the site where they were hoping to move. Illogical persecutory thinking is exhibited by people with mental illness.
-The Jamisons were described as a family obsessed with death. (This is a very common obsession for those with mood disorders and schizophrenia.)
-Sherilyn owned a pistol, so there was access to a lethal weapon.

TRIGGER ALERT
Their bizarre behavior coupled with their religious delusions and hallucinations is evidence that one or both were mentally ill. People having persecutory delusions and hallucinations are always at risk of suicide. Here are some sad statistics: Thirty percent of people with bipolar disorder will attempt suicide or complete it, Almost half of all schizophrenia patients will attempt or complete suicide. Bipolar disorder and schizophrenia aren’t the only mental health disorders with delusions and hallucinations. Psychosis can occur with Major Depressive Disorder too. Sixty percent of Americans who have completed suicide suffered from Major Depressive Disorder.

Yeah weird- but if it was a murder suicide would they have even bothered with the money? Just a very sad and baffling case.

People with untreated mental illness experience illogical thoughts.

There is not a passable road (by vehicle) that would connect where the truck was found to where the bodies were located. It is at least 20 miles by vehicle. 2.5ish miles as the crow flies. I am looking for a better map to explain. The Jamisons went missing on one side of the mountain and were found at the bottom of the other side. The GPS coords are correct. Give me a few. As far as the word "grave", my best thought would be think four years of leaves and debris. Its not like hunters stumbled upon a depression in the terrain and decided to dig.

Bump

This is what makes me doubt murder suicide.

QUINTON -

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating after three bodies were discovered in a grave near Quinton, Oklahoma in rural Pittsburg County.

The location of the grave was just a few miles from Panola mountain. That's the site where the Jamison family's truck was found abandoned four years ago.

I followed the Jamison case at The Hinky Meter (no longer exists) for a long time.

If the remains are the Jamison family, their families can "bring them home" and have some type of closure.

Sad, sad case.

Amazing that the McStay family was found a few days ago and now possibly the Jamison family. Wow!

One common thought regarding these two cases . . . how could any one kill innocent children.

Skeletal remains found in Latimer County could be missing Eufaula family, OSBI says

Deer hunters found the skeletal remains of three people Saturday afternoon in Latimer County. OSBI agents are investigating whether the remains belong to the Jamison family that went missing in the area in 2009.

Bobby and Sherrilynn Jamison and their daughter
Madyson, 6, of Eufaula, were last seen Oct. 9, 2009.
Their pickup was found near Red Oak on Oct. 17, 2009,
the Latimer County sheriff's department reported.

KINTA — Investigators were trying to determine Sunday whether skeletal remains found in Latimer County belong to a Eufaula family missing since 2009.

The remains were discovered Saturday afternoon by hunters, said Gary Perkinson, assistant special agent in charge for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

I am still in shock that the Jamisons have finally been found.
Hopefully, they will be able to determine how they died quickly.

I am kinda really in shock I think ,I also think wfgodot is in shock or disbelief.

You got it. I almost never use the term "gobsmacked" but did after the McStays were ID'd. But here, it doesn't seem substantial enough. "Gobsmacked x 10" at least, is wfgodot.

I wonder if they were not in their right mind, wandered too far from the truck, and died of exposure

Very good point on tree cover indicating that, probably, there were no graves. Probably the definitive article thus far: Skeletal remains found in Latimer County could be missing Eufaula family.

This article says a different county. Maybe they were found right across the county line.

It's kinda eerie that the two biggest family mysteries, the Jamisons and McStays, were both found within about a week of each other. Not saying they are connected, its just crazy timing

So glad to wake up to see they were found.
Hopefully they figure out what happened

Well, tezi is joining wfgodot on the being "Gobsmacked x 10" today.

Has it been confirmed? I wasn't able to find any media with confirmation.
