Regardless of who discovered the body, the question still stands. I wasn't insinuating the persons that found the body were involved. The fact that there were three of them, (man, woman, and child) makes it even more coincidental. Who started them on that path? Why did they pick that section of woods?

Coincidences do occur but to just write them off as such (in a possible criminal case) would be doing a disservice to the investigation.

Personally, I wouldn't take my wife and daughter anywhere near where a family of the same composition went missing. With or without firearm. Everything is suspicious in this case

From my reading of FTJ, the BFF seemed to firmly believe, until the remains were found, that Sherilyn and Bobby were killed and Madyson was abducted and still alive somewhere. Taken by a pedophile, if I've interpreted the inferences correctly. So I was surprised to find this earlier theory of hers, as it's pretty much the same idea I've been turning over and over in my head the past few days.

I know it is hard to think that someone would murder a child ,and I guess even harder to think one of her parents would murder her and then kill themselves but the persuming of Madyson being alive while not having faith in the parents being alive is very odd. Since her clothes were given away and her parents estate settled. It seems the faith was not really shared by all ..

I also wonder how much was BFF's own personal thoughts or what might have been left over pieces of other people's influence.

I think if anyone murdered this family is has to do with the older Jamison's death.Somehow.'' Missing girl heir $850,000.00 estate '' Anyone see that headline anywhere? Wonder why.

Aren't most murder/suicides head shots? Would everyone agree that if it was murder/suicide the person that is least likely to be made to suffer would be the child? Head shot?? Since there are no signs of foul play can't we mark that off? Even if the shooter, him or her, shot victims for slow death wouldn't they at least make it fast for themselves... (head shot). I think murder/suicide is out based on the above.

New Vote
80% murder
19% exposure
1% Bigfoot or other animal

Except that Pensfan found multiple articles about murder-suicides where LE said "no foul play was suspected." For whatever reason, they sometimes use that phrase in murder-suicides to indicate that no third party was involved, just the person who killed the victim(s) and then killed himself/herself. So, I don't think we can rule it out based on the "no foul play suspected" comment.

So....if it's them, how long do you think the remains were at the place where they were found? They were last seen the ninth but the truck went unreported till the 17th.

1. Since very shortly after they disappeared. They died at the site.
2. Since within a week. They died at the site.
3. Since within a week; killed elsewhere then bodies left at site.
4. Since within a month; killed elsewhere, left at site after primary search ended.
5. Their remains were taken to the site during the interim years of their disappearance.

If it's them then #5-I still think they are alive and well though

I think in certain scenarios what you said is true. (Fresh crime scene, compared to this one) If this has happened then they concluded fairly quickly that is was murder/suicide without no evidence. Also, they said there was no weapon recovered. Murder/suicide, if by gun, the weapon will be easy to find.

The difference is misleading the public vs lying to them outright. They wouldn't have denied finding the weapon.

Also, they wouldn't have concluded this yet and made that statement without identifying the bodies first. So, they wouldn't be making statements they would have to backtrack on if identity was not known.

Gonna have to go with #1. Abducted/lured away from the truck, taken to the site where the remains were found and killed there.

I agree with this. #1

You must've typed that while I was catching up on today's post :) Thank you!

We're only allowed a dozen vote changes on anything. On this particular subject I think I used up my last one sometime in late 2010.

  • #976
I don't see why you would rule out murder suicide as the child could have been murdered and the 2 adults could have overdosed on-whatever

Following the family's disappearance, numerous people with connections to the Jamisons were questioned, including family members.

Jack Jamison, Bobby Jamison's uncle, was questioned by the FBI. Jack Jamison was named as the executor of Bob Dean Jamison's will on Oct. 27, 2008.

Madyson Jamison was named the sole beneficiary of her grandfather's estate at that time, cutting out Bobby Jamison and Bob Dean Jamison's ex-wife, Starlet Jamison.

A family friend who lived with the Jamisons in the months before they vanished was questioned by the FBI, as well.

I guess this Oct 27 2008 date should be added to the time line.

Perhaps I should post a preliminary version of the timeline for review? And invite additions, subtractions, and/or corrections? It's not complete, but getting there. Am still trying to pin down sources for everything, and have probably left out some important detail or other.

That would be wonderful OG!
