Oops, sorry little. Smokestack Hollow. It is a ridge/ravine area that runs sort of directly through (and sort of around- SE I believe) of where the truck was found. The gas well that I am looking at looks like it's part of a different parcel maybe? Do we have the parcels for the entire area broken down somewhere, or am I imagining that? Seems like there were 52 or something.

One other thing that has been bugging me about the Jamison's case is the OCME's role in it. Does anyone have a good understanding of why they would be involved if there were no remains found? I understand that their death investigators go out to scenes...but what was the scene of the crime/death in this case that would produce a report? Is it the likelihood of?

I think you're imaging the parcels. I don't remember seeing them.

I found this for Smokestack Hollow;

I'll see what I can find on the well.

That's the one, little. There is an area in there with two ravines, one that runs SSW and another that is E. There's a little waterfall towards the end that has a stream at the base. It kind of narrows and widens as it runs downhill- hard to explain with the terrain being so remote and up/down. There are also several 'sink hole' type depressions farther upsteam off the bank, maybe where it washed out at some point?

I was trying to follow the direction of water travel if something went in from up above and traveled downstream.

I swear I thought I saw something about parcels somewhere but I can't remember where. Maybe it was back with the land sale info? I will try to look it up.

Just wanted to lay some info out.

The red plastic thing in the glovebox was Sherilyn's cell phone. It was shoved upside down in her little change purse, wallet thingy. I saw the change purse when I was out at Starlets house, almost reminds me of one of thoes holders that women used to keep their cigarettes in.

SDA certificate- Pretty sure it is related to his disability. But I figure if we are going to thow out some other interesting possibilities I am going with...Seventh Day Adventist, or Scuba Diving Association.

I think the pink t-shirt description came from the photo off of Bobby's cell phone. The timing would have been after the neighbor had already spoke to them, so I would think they would use last known?

Oriah, the link won't work for me.

I've been looking in sec. 5. Is that about right? This is a great mapping site!! And it's FREE!!!

http://www.topoquest.com/

I'm sorry- not sure what I did wrong :waitasec: it still works for me, but my computer hates me today so I probably screwed something up lol.

It is actually the 8 section, I think you are too far NW? Drop down S a bit and follow the ridgeline, and it should match up with the area of the coordinates.

Didn't someone see the whole SDA paper?

Gonna hazard a guess and say at least the OSBI, since it was in the SW... one out of those eight items that seem to have had some important reason for being executed on...:innocent:

Oh I'm sure some other folks have copies of it. I just think it's interesting that the OSBI had a SW issued for it, but it's been sort of written off as unimportant (or even unknown) in MSM, kwim?

I was also told by Mr. Brewer, there are metermen who are suppose to check the well site, EVERYDAY!! He chuckled after telling me that and said,"If they really do check everyday."

If metermen were at the well site everyday, why didn't they notice the Jamisons truck???

Well it might have been the truck didnt stand out because of the dog not being there? Or the truck might not of been there the whole time. To be noticed. The metermen should have a log. If they dont I might go apply. Least I would get paid for not doing stuff I should be.

Right- so it was updated from who's last seen description description? It was changed to the photo on the phone. Where did the pink jacket go?

Yes, it is a bit confusing.
But just for the record, here are the hunting seasons in OK:
http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/seasons.htm

I still don't understand why a hunting season would affect a search? But anyway...

ETA: I guess these reasons?
http://www.newson6.com/global/story.asp?s=11383528

But these grids are so tight, I still don't understand why they can't be made safe from hunters. Perhaps an email or phone call to the hunt clubs and whatnot to ask that they refrain from hunting those parcels at certain search times?

I am interested in the area of the hollow and the stream/pool/waterfall/whatever you call it (depends on time of year) and also south of the hollow- there is quite a drop off there.

little, do you know who owns the gas well east of Smokestack?

Hi, long time no see.

Oriah, I'm going to have to call foul on Beauchamp for canceling the search. Deer season, yeah, that's understandable because people are out there with high-powered rifles, but turkey season? It's almost laughable. Huge diff between a deer rifle and a shotgun. He knows this. Makes this look hinky to me.

Maybe instead of a search you all could go turkey hunting, wink, wink. Gobble, gobble.

Funny, I thought it was private property anyway so shouldn't be anyone up there without the landowner's permission. Not sure what the OK laws are, but in TX if a property isn't marked no trespassing or no hunting, then it can be hunted. At least that was the case a few years back. I've never done it, but I'm sure some would.

I have to ask (hypothetically ) If one of those 8 pieces of evidence have evidence of foul play would that be a reason to send the item to the medical examiners office or no?

And just to check in again with who's where in the list of players. The ATF was listed as being involved in this case correct? I thought I heard /read/saw/ it so I just want to make sure I havent dreamed this since I really never did find a dream thread. I didnt look either I just firgured I had enough to ponders after the psychic blog radio.

Hi justthinkin! :seeya:

OK laws are same as TX in that regard....it IS private property, and you can hunt any ole time you want, for pretty much anything you want, on your own property.
(Now, you can't legally use a sawed off shotgun or, say, shoot across a major thoroughfare, because then you have these types of issues...
Billy: "You seen over there, Bud?!" Bud: "Yeah, I see 'em! Just on the otherside of 35?" Billy: "Yeah, big ole gobblers!" Bob:"Pow!" Billy:"Dang it! You see that dang truck that got in the way?" "Bob: "What truck?")

So, ya know... you get the idea. It's like TX.

However, I would think LE could ask landowners permission to search, clear the search area of any residents, and then...safely search? Unless landowners aren't cooperating, or there are a lot of, umm, people squatting on the mountain, it shouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think. Private search groups could do the same.

But just to be on the safe side, I'm pulling out my turkey calls right now. :great:

I would think so, Soul. But perhaps an ME or someone who works for an ME's office would better answer that question. I know we have a couple here on WS's, perhaps they will pop in and answer, because I can't really make sense of why a death investigator would be involved if there was no evidence of any death, kwim? Maybe it was based on the HRD hits?

And you're not in the dream thread (I think that's somewhere in the basement, lol...) yes on ATF.

So say they found a spend bullet enbedded into the ground with tissue attached to it would ATF eximine that in a missing person case or the ME office? Or in the water tower or whatever.

What if the bullet was from a USA banned firearm ? Does that then open the door to an ATF investigation?

Maybe they did find evidence of a still? Or bobbys smokes didnt have a tax stamp but I dont think so .

Anthony Holland sold guns, lot of them and he is missing and No ATF there.(as I have heard of yet)

I know I need a ME....
