Wow, mtrooper. I would love to see more of her journal entries if you have them! To me, these gave insight into her state of mind.

It doesn't seem like a murder-suicide was planned if she was writing about business transactions (the land purchase). The "separation from the world" part would indicate a voluntary disappearance, but the dog is a screaming red flag. They may have decided to leave all of their material possessions behind, but they wouldn't have left the dog.

Does anyone know what all the writing about knives mean? It seemed like tarot to me, but not quite. More like witchcraft? A lot of that writing also seems drug-addled.

ETA: wtg, I just saw what you wrote about Macharomancy -- thank you. I've never heard of it.

A "Mr Banfield" is superintendent of schools in nearby (to Eufaula) Stidham OK.

Madyson is the main concern of this journal entry; Madyson's future schooling was in question at the time of the family's disappearance.

So she was wanting to send Madyson to school near Eufaula, then...which would tell me that they weren't planning to go off the grid in their immediate future.

What did all of you think of last night's case presentation on 'Disappeared'?

I really enjoyed it; it's been awhile since I studied in-depth, so it served as a review piece for me. Starlet seemed quite sincere and believable, not a 'monster-in-law'. They underscored the fact that meth is a huge problem in the area; maybe the Jamison family happened onto some drug or other illegal activity, and they were 'taken out' so they would never talk? Footprints - including child-sized-were found at the site of the vehicle. Bobby suffered from chronic pain and depression, Sherilyn battled bi-polar disorder and went off her meds from time to time, so could be murder-suicide?

What say YOU??

I watched it again on YouTube yesterday. I thought it was a very good show, mtrooper did great, all expressed real concern for the Jamisons, it served as a timely reminder (or re-reminder) of my first thoughts of the case (before I changed my mind several hundred times) - that carrying around that sort of $$$ in one's vehicle in Oklahoma might definitely mean one was involved with either buying or selling drugs (or both), and that it was a distinct possibility as well that the family might have stumbled upon a meth lab or a pot growing operation and thus were eliminated because they "knew too much."

Even now, simmered in the juices of more time with, and more knowledge about, the case (and especially the family), those thoughts don't seem to be too off the mark. As has been said many times, they seemed to invite their own fate - whatever that fate may have been.

I agree on the journal issue. I find it fascinating and like a window with the blinds pulled up only an inch - enough to get a surface glimpse of thier inside lives.

Wonder if MTrooper would be willing to share the rest of the journal. Also wondering why this has not been shared before- seems like this could have helped much sooner.

I called NS to make sure I had relayed the information about the journal and the website listing correctly- she put me on hold while she went to get her copies of the journal that she received from MTrooper and the copies she received from Sheriff Beauchamp to double check. She stated that there is indeed a page with nothing more than the website- (smaller page), as well as another page with container info and man's (who last saw them) name and #- (also a smaller page). Then she told me there is another entry (larger page) with most of the info and the website written on it- together. She said shes getting her scanner fixed on Wednesday and will be scanning all her copies and emailing them to me.

Okay, this harkens back to our idyllic days spent wondering how in the heck long Maisie the pooch might have been able to survive in the abandoned vehicle. Info below re: the Joplin Tornado, and from the Joplin Globe:

(City manager Mark) Rohr said a resident on Wednesday found a dog still alive that had been trapped in rubble since the storm. A resident reported hearing a dog trapped in rubble in the 2500 block of Adele Avenue. Nearby construction workers and volunteers were able to uncover the dog, and it was reunited with its owner.

Another dog that had been trapped was found alive early Friday morning. Rohr said the city was trying to locate the owner of that animal. No details were available on the location of that rescue.

So - Dog "A," above, was trapped in rubble for over 10 days, Sunday the 22nd through Wednesday the 25th; Dog "B" for 12 days, Sunday through Friday the 27th.

No reports on bags of chips in the rubble.

I've got to say that the tone of the journal made me feel like they were in an even darker place than I originally thought...and I already thought they were in a dark place. The journal doesn't "feel" good.

Something else I'd be interested in is if Sherilyn or Bobby had any screen names they went by online. Perhaps NS would know? I very much doubt they would use their real names on internet forums, but a google search of any known screen names (or even nicknames) could produce something.
Perhaps they visited survivalist message boards, or spoke to others online about the "spirits and demons" in their house?

In that report last night, they said Sherilyn was bi-polar, and when she was off her meds she would sometimes be in a very dark mood. Those writings sound like something written in just such a mood. And they are somewhat disjointed, leaping from one thing to another; isn't one symptom of bi-polar 'racing thoughts'?

thank you, wfg, for posting the episode. Starlet Jamison was heartbroken. i cried when she said that her and Madyson were best friends. my grand daughters are my best friends too so that broke my heart. and thank you MTrooper for posting the journal entries. those are very telling as to Sherilyn's state of mind. correct me if i am wrong, but weren't the church people the only ones who told about the perceived demons at the house? Sherilyn's best friend, NS, never mentioned anything like that, did she? The picture NS painted of Sherilyn was a very private person, sometimes troubled with the bi-polar, but not a crazy person. i know people who act crazy to keep folks away, it is not uncommon in people who want to live off the grid.

was it a typo in the article? the 22nd thru the 25th is not 10 days and the 22nd thru the 27th is not 12 days?

A lot of activity on her ebay...feedback was left for her even after they vanished. I wonder what she was buying.
