i have been gone for a month getting ready for a move but i have thought about the Jamisons a lot and i just keep thinking that whatever happened to them, if it was about money, they didnt realize it bc if they knew the people and knew it was about money, one of them would have offered the 32 thousand that was in the truck in effort to save Madyson. it probably wouldnt have worked, but the money wouldn't have been there when the truck was found.
Well, my cell just ate my post, so this 2nd round hopefully it goes through.
1) I understand what you're saying, but what if separated and trying to keep whomever away from the truck and loved ones? I know I would do whatever to keep focus on myself in hopes that loved ones could get away (if I had time to do so). I don't believe the truck was actually really messed with, as the show made it seem like the 1st guy to look thru the truck wasn't the guy that found the cash, it was the 2nd guy and he had to do quite a bit of searching to find the cash, as I think it was covered and stuffed way under the driver seat, and upon finding it was when they said the 1st guy ordered the truck roped off so as not to disturb evidence. I think the Jamisons all got out of the truck at some point (and I don't think it was all together at one time). I think that if someone did do something bad, then they weren't likely to be thinking clearly, and that they wouldn't want to stay rifling through an incriminating location in an open/exposed spot after being there for however long already. The site was explained as being somewhat muddy, with no signs of a struggle, so whatever happened must have been fast or there was a reason no one put up enough of a fight to leave signs of such activity (Madyson's safety is a very good reason)
2) I REALLY hope that someone will check the RE angle, even if it wasn't about Real Estate and the "money", it is still a ploy to get them to a remote location, that I think would have worked. Also, when searching for Real Estate or liking to look at property (as implied by several people on the show), they would have been dealing with unknown people, and having to trust them to a point, to meet them or discuss money, etc. typically without much of a background check, particularly if you're looking to outright purchase land from a land owner you don't want to 'spook' from a sale. *crossing my fingers* that someone with drive and ability will research this (and who maybe has a working pc *smiles*).
3) There are some characteristics that solved/cracked cases (even cold cases) seem to have in common: an obsessive investigator who refuses to give up, a lucky break, and in some cases, exposure or pressure from an outside source. So what do ya'll think about a petition, like on Change.org that keeps people thinking of the case, keeps the pressure on, and urges and motivates them to assign a new lead investigator with the drive, determination, and an unbias set of eyes to work/rework the case??? As I got the distinct impression that the Lead Investigator shown on that program was exceedingly bias. He made statements to the following on camera (not verbatim): 'We have a problem with *** drugs in this area, so when we find that amount of cash and missing people we assume it is a drug deal gone bad. (I was like Wtheck?!)..they then did a home search and found no drugs, but some surveillance tapes (the mother-in-law said she had installed for them for security reasons), that because when packing the vehicle they didn't interact, touch, or speak and made numerous trips as opposed to only a few, and they were walking like in a trance and they must have been on drugs.' Again, I was like WTheck?! Apparently, he has never had a stress induced tiff w/a partner just before or during trip packing a car! I know I have, so his statement seemed so nonsensical, and while I can take conjecture or even a wild guess, down right inflammatory slaughtering of someone's character w/o any evidence to support those allegations, is just shameful on the behalf of an Investigator! So, an unbias Investigator with a new set of eyes, who is as determined to find the truth, as Websleuth Members would be a nice change, and could be what is needed.
I hope I posted all of the points I originally covered the 1st time I txt'd this - doubt it - I'm sure I'll have more to say *laughs*, but just wanted to say that I am thankful for all of your patience while I've said what I have here.

Side Note: Thank you all for the warm welcome! It's much appreciated, as this case was my 1st dip into participation on this particular Forum. The fact that an entire Family can go missing with no answers, voluntarily or otherwise, is worse than a tragedy to me, but I can't think of a good word to properly describe it. Overall, this case has been bugging me and on my mind for long before I posted here. Also, *winks*..I do realize that occasionally the pressure kettle has to let off a bit steam, here and there, and I'll leave it at that. *smiles*

I pray for the Jamison Family, where ever they may be. They will always be in my mind, and in my prayers.
