GUILTY OK - Jaymie Adams, 25, Blanchard, 9 Dec 2011

BBM

IIRC it was repossessed while in impound. MSM states "family van" so I think this may be the one Jaymie had driven to the McDonald's.

Years ago I was a dispatcher for a towing company that obtained the city contract (sheriff and police departments). When a vehicle was impounded (parking citations, accident, evidentiary, etc.) the owner of the vehicle was required to pay for the towing and storage fees prior to the release of the vehicle. Everything required documentation and we were often audited as a condition of maintaining the contract.

If you didn't pay the fees you didn't get your car back. I would assume OK has a similar lien for towing and storage fees statute.

Even though their vehicle was repossessed, isn't Justin still responsible for paying the towing and impounding fees?

Irven Box was named by the latest MSM as his attorney so no change yet.

Did Justin appear before a Judge when he was charged with two counts of murder? I read a few media reports and they didn't say whether he was charged in the prison or if he appeared in Court. They also didn't mention when Justin is scheduled to appear in Court for an arraignment.

This media report only said "Two murder counts were filed Monday against Justin Adams, who is accused of killing Jaymie Adams."

His attorney, Irven Box, told KWTV he didn't see anything in the affidavit that tied his client to the killing.

The finance company would have paid the applicable fees and are able to pursue Justin in civil court for the recovery of expenses.

He was arraigned and appeared via video in court on January 30th. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. Prosecutors requested, and were granted, additional time to file formal charges.

I don't know of any future court proceedings. HTH

Quote:
Court documents obtained Monday show Jaymie Adams engaged in prostitution to make ends meet. Justin Adams told police investigators during a Dec. 12 interview that his wife “hated” working as a prostitute, saying she met clients twice a week, and “when the cellphone bill and van payment were made,” she stopped until another bill was due, according to a probable cause affidavit filed Monday.

Well, that makes me sick. Why didn't he, I don't know, GET A JOB? Or go out and prostitute HIMSELF, it seems that Jaymie really didn't want to. The poor girl was desparate, I imagine.

I am now even more suspicious of Justin's mom. I hate to feel that way, but with the article and the things I saw on FB, she is giving me a real bad feeling.

:( Poor Jaymie. She just seems to have had a very hard life, no support from anyone. I hope she at least found a bit of joy in her children.

Melissasmom, please don't feel suspicious about Justin's mom. I have felt the same way since reading one of her posts on FaceBook. It is dated December 10th at 8:25 PM.

....."my daughter in law who has been missing 24 hrs. now."

I thought Jaymie was reported missing between 1AM and 3AM???

Thank you very much.

I wish someone would prove Justin took a life insurance policy out on his wife before she was murdered and provide greater details.

IDK, since LE knew Justin was soliciting for his wife through emails, why didn't they lay these additional charges along with the two counts of murder?

If Justin, Cyr and someone else conspired to kill Jaymie for financial gain, wouldn't their phone records prove it?

Is the man who took charge of Jaymie's burial a pastor and Justin's father?
Does he live close to Justin?
How many brothers and sisters does Justin have?
Have Tina and her ex-husband remarried?

Yes, Justin's father buried Jaymie. He went to college for ministry (Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies & Youth Ministry), but I'm not sure if he's currently a pastor.

Justin's father lives about 75 miles from where Justin lived.

From what I can tell, Justin has 3 brothers and possibly one much younger half brother. I read that Justin is a twin, but I don't know if that's true.

Yes, Tina remarried and divorced. Her boyfriend was home the night Justin came over to borrow the car to look for Jaymie, but he says he never saw Justin. Justin's father is remarried.

Although, Justin reportedly told a family member Jaymie's phone was shut off at midnight. Cell phone towers transmit different information.

At 11:36 p.m. on December 9, Jaymie called her husband Justin. The records show both phones hit the same cell phone tower in southwest Oklahoma City.

The document shows Jaymie planned to see a man for sex in Midwest City, but the man later reported to police he spoke to Jaymie at 1 a.m. to cancel the meeting.

Cell phone records indicate just after 1 a.m., Jaymie made two calls, less than a minute apart, hitting two different towers servicing the area near Lake Stanley Draper, where Jaymie's body would later be discovered. It's the last time Jaymie's phone dialed out.

Around 4:30 a.m., Justin made his first call to Jaymie. Justin then makes several calls from 5 a.m. until 4 that evening.

At that time, Justin and Jaymie's phones hit the same towers at different places in the metro.

"A lot of those times are wrong," said Tina Clarke, Justin's mother.

Clarke says she knows "Justin was at his house from 1130 p.m. to 2:30p.m., playing on Facebook." She also says Justin knocked on her door between two and three that morning to borrow the car.

Clarke's boyfriend was at house at that time but told police he never saw Justin. Still, Tina tells us she went with Justin around 3:30 p.m. or 3:45 p.m. to look for Jaymie. Phone records show Justin and Tina exchanged calls before that time.

You're not kidding. She's practically implicating herself.

The mist is clearing...

Was Cyr's vehicle released?

Yes. His vehicle was released, and he wasn't investigated further. I think investigating him was actually kind of a formality.

I'm having a hard time with the timeline - does anyone remember what time she was reported missing? I know Justin and Tina were there at the car at 3 a.m. at McDonalds asking LE to open the car. But that time, was she reported missing or was it much later then next afternoon?

Also, he couldn't have possibly been on facebook from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., so I can't tell what time frame Tina is talking about.

I think she means 11:30PM-2:30AM, so as to cover him while he was out there making calls at 1am...hitting off towers near his wife's body...she ought to shut up, IMO.

according to this article she was reported at 5am..

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlin...-adams-met-clients-for-sex-husband-told-cops/

as for what Justin and his mother are saying about what time they found the car... well... that is what they "said"... (a local earlier in the thread posted that her van was in the truck lot of the mcdonalds and I posted a map of it upthread... looks conveniently out of the way of any cameras)

If he really WAS there during that time working on facebook, that would be obvious to forensics going through the computer, wouldn't it?

I would think so...it probably is not a good idea for her to be disputing phone records right now. It will all come out in the wash, so to speak, IMO.

Yes. His vehicle was released, and he wasn't investigated further. I think investigating him was actually kind of a formality.

Unless it was saved, will Police have a tape recording of the conversation Cyr had with Adams at 1 am Saturday morning?

Joseph Cyr is one of the last person's to be in contact with Jaymie and he claims he never met up with her. A document shows Jaymie planned to see a man for sex in Midwest City, but the man later reported to police he spoke to Jaymie at 1 a.m. to cancel the meeting.

At 11:36 p.m. on December 9, Jaymie called her husband Justin. The records show both phones hit the same cell phone tower in southwest Oklahoma City.

This is when Jaymie apparently told Justin she had arrived at Midwest City and was waiting for a client to arrive. If she was waiting for Cyr, that means she waited for roughly an hour and a half for him to show up.

I didn't read in any of the reports that Cyr had picked up his vehicle and since he has apparently moved to Tulsca, I wasn't sure if he had gone to pick it up. It would be costly for him not to. The truck was found in Choctaw at Cyr's home and according to the search warrant, a truck belonging to Joseph Cyr was muddy and had a front tire removed. Police took soil samples from the truck and swabs from the inside. Detectives were looking for blood and fibers, anything connected to Jaymie Adams' death so it doesn't look like LE found any incriminating physical evidence against Cyr.

A motorcyclist found her body along a dirt track on January 7, although authorities believe it was just there for a day before it was discovered. So this is not where police believe Jaymie was murdered. Police have not found the murder weapon.

LE confiscated Justin's computer so I think Police can determine exactly when he was logged on during the time in question.

I think Justin reported his wife as missing when Justin asked to borrow a tool from LE so he could break into the family van parked at McDonald's. Then the following day, he went back and told Police she had planned to meet a client and had been advertising as a massage therapist on Craigslist. This article claims around 4:30 a.m., Justin made his first call to Jaymie.

If he was on FB until 2:30 am, he should have contacted his wife by phone before he went to his mother's to ask to borrow the car which was around 2:30 am.

Clarke also responded to the new evidence mentioned in the documents about Justin having an intimate relationship with a woman named Lisa Leaver-Pate. She says Justin met her two weeks after Jaymie disappeared and he had been confiding in her about Jaymie.

Leaver-Pate initially agreed to talk with investigators, but it's reported her attorney Jeff Box canceled that interview.
