Very popular drug during hippy days and mostly the 70's to mid 80's.
Sick jerk.
Prayers for the darling little boy- I hope he's still alive and is safe from harm. Prayers for the poor mother- how frightening and traumatizing!
I wonder why they took so long to issue an Amber Alert? They had a vehicle and a suspect, you would think it would be been issued right away.

I never did it personally but knew people who did. They felt it gave them insight into spiritual transcendence or something.
It sounds like they had to wait until he ignored the order to return the baby. Such a little sweetheart. I hope he's okay but I don't have a good feeling about it...
It was pretty popular with the pseudo "native"/granola crowd in my neck of the woods back in the 90s. Someone recently mentioned it again, though, and several of us were like "oh yeah people used to do that" and also peyote buttons. I think it was the hallucinogen of choice for those who like to keep their drugs of the plant variety rather than "chemical."I never did it personally but knew people who did. They felt it gave them insight into spiritual transcendence or something.
I just got an Amber Alert notice on my phone. (I'm currently in Oklahoma City.)
Here's a link, but I don't know if it will work, as the site might be getting slammed right now.

I don't know when this text message was sent, but if it happened today it might explain why they only now decided to use the mobile phone emergency alert system.
