Honestly, it’s the only time I have actually heard of it in real life.

Very popular drug during hippy days and mostly the 70's to mid 80's.

I never did it personally but knew people who did. They felt it gave them insight into spiritual transcendence or something.

Sick jerk.

Prayers for the darling little boy- I hope he's still alive and is safe from harm. Prayers for the poor mother- how frightening and traumatizing!

I wonder why they took so long to issue an Amber Alert? They had a vehicle and a suspect, you would think it would be been issued right away.

It sounds like they had to wait until he ignored the order to return the baby. Such a little sweetheart. I hope he's okay but I don't have a good feeling about it...

Interesting. Definitely sounds like a 70’s thing :)

I’m hanging on to the possibility that he’s all bark and no bite in regards to his son. 🤞🏻

It was pretty popular with the pseudo "native"/granola crowd in my neck of the woods back in the 90s. Someone recently mentioned it again, though, and several of us were like "oh yeah people used to do that" and also peyote buttons. I think it was the hallucinogen of choice for those who like to keep their drugs of the plant variety rather than "chemical."

I just got an Amber Alert notice on my phone. (I'm currently in Oklahoma City.)

Here's a link, but I don't know if it will work, as the site might be getting slammed right now.

I don't know when this text message was sent, but if it happened today it might explain why they only now decided to use the mobile phone emergency alert system.

Read up on Carlos Santana and his electric "snake" guitar at Woodstock. :)

I hope they find the monster and the little one soon. Poor baby, I am really worried about him. I doubt this jerk is taking good care of him. Hopefully, he gave the little guy to someone half way decent to take care of him, but I doubt it. :(

Oh no. It's hard to have hope when you hear this. But we have all seem some miraculous endings to the stories here on WS. :please:

I very rarely post in here so forgive me if I do it wrong. But it's being reported locally that the Father was arrested for murder last night. Still no word on this precious baby or any confirmation that a body was found. Still hoping & praying for a miracle. Not sure how to link the news article.

Sooooooo sad!! I am sad it took the mom so long to get the order :( Something should have happened THAT day. I know he technically had the right to see Jody but ugh.....

http://www.newson6.com/story/37676557/man-involved-in-amber-alert-accused-of-murder

Norman police were called on Feb. 19 in reference to a domestic situation at a home in the 1500 block of Lakecrest Drive. The mother of the baby said Minjarez took the child after attacking her.

The mother filed a victim protective order on Feb. 23 to get the child returned to her. Officers issued an endangered child alert on Tuesday and upgraded it to an Amber Alert on Wednesday.

Blessed little angel.
