LOL yeah...I think I may think I may know someone near Broken Arrow...

My dad's heart surgery is set for tomorrow and I will be gone all day, but email me the details of what you are looking for.... I hope to do some research while he is having surgery.

I can shoot off some emails tonight.

Sooner

Will do, but it can wait a day or more till you have time- they're not going anywhere, I don't think. :waitasec:
I hope your Dad's surgery goes okay! Sending prayers your way. And thanks.

Thank you for the prayers! All are appreciated! You do have my email right?

We contacted the US Marshals service and are waiting to get some information back... but not the governors office. A fresh set of eyes is always welcome. Anyone have a background on Gov. Brad Henry? He's been elected (and re-elected) since these crimes took place, which may indeed be a fresh set of eyes. Then again...I don't know anything more about the man.
Any takers on this idea?

Thanks, JLMcKenna for the idea.

Did you ever hear back, I am just catching back up on the thread.

Hello all,
Bumping again- we need more sleuthers!
Today I'm interested in the triangle between Welch, Miami, and Bluejacket; State hwy 10/59 to 2, then South to just before you hit 44. SE of Welch. There appear to be quite a few logging roads or ATV trails in the area. Can anyone confirm this? Is that active timber co land? Thanks.
JTSYS

Maybe contact some of the earlier posters, that are still active. and send a message to them.

Ok then. I have checked UID's in NamUs in the following states:

OK, AR, TX, LA, AL, TN, GA, FL SC, NC, MO, KY, KS, NE, SD, ND, OH and WV - with no really strong possibilites. Except POSSIBLY:

https://identifyus.org/cases/4725

https://identifyus.org/cases/4872

https://identifyus.org/cases/full_report/5763

https://identifyus.org/cases/3487

https://identifyus.org/cases/3506

https://identifyus.org/cases/3514

I used few parameters. The last two are compelling due to the location and timing. But there are so few details on both, it's impossible to make any connection.

There seems to be a ridiculous number of UID's in the state of TX. WTH?

Thoughts? Suggestions on where to look next? Should I go west?

Sorry, I have been gone...coping with some family health issues. My dad's surgery didn't go well.

I think all the UID's in TX started out in OK...

The timing on those is interesting but your right there are so few details it's impossible to get anywhere with.
I don't know about west- how far north/northwest have you looked?
Thanks for all your hard work. We were intending to go back out there last weekend but Oriahs been slammed with work these past couple weeks and is trying to catch a breather.
We're going to try to clear that last grid for good next opportunity- but that won't be for a few weeks.

I guess we'll just keep plodding away- we did hear from one of the universities that they were starting a 'club' for their forensics students to compare some outerlying ME office info. Maybe that'll help.

USMS has limited info- they had more info on local LE lol which was kind of interesting. Gov, I know was written to several times without response but we got one letter from the office saying thanks but that's really not our thing. Sort of expected that.

As for contacting earlier posters- there were some on and active before we got involved and would love input from, but I am not sure they are still around. How do we go about finding them? Anyone in contact with them? We really aren't active on any other boards, but if anyone knows anyone who might be interested in searching for these girls, or has info on possible search locations we would love to hear from them and please bring them on over. Searching is tedious without a well pinpointed area, but at least remains ARE being found. Even if they're not Ashley and Lauria.

One more thing- anyone local, knowledgable of, or close by the Pittsburg, KS area? I'm interested in family reunions held annually in the area.
TIA.

Due north up to North Dakota and NE as far as WV. Any suggestions?

Fairy1, is this NAMUS only (and I don't mean 'only' like it's not a huge job, LOL!) Thank you SOOOOOOO much for doing that- I am wondering if you checked the individual county ME's UID info in those areas? There are so many that have info not in NAMUS and they don't seem to always talk county to county so well...
Anyway just wondering what specifically you searched. Thank you again! That is some seriously labor intensive work and I very much appreciate it!

Yes, so far, just NamUs. I agree, the information there is sorely lacking. I couldn't possibly have enough time to go county by county, unless I have some idea of where to look - which we don't. Though I think I could tackle the state clearinghouse sites - but would still prefer to narrow it down a specific geographical area.

Still wondering why the interest in north/northeast. Is there any basis for that?

I know, I totally understand the labor intensive aspect of this. Did not mean to imply you should go county by county at all! I might be able to get you a list of some specific counties though, that are of interest and I haven't hit yet? And I didn't think about the state clearinghouses- does OK even have one? Sometimes I am an idiot. :loser:

Yes- the north/northeast is based upon info gathered from LE (at the time very poorly constructed, and not preserved of course) of the direction in which the perpetrator(s) of this crime fled, and the possible travel routes. Also, likely dumpsites asssuming the girls were alive when they left the scene.
Then there is some corroboration of that from locals. But that's all, really.

Are you thinking they went south?
The only other lead we have for that is drug involvement.

Some states have clearinghouses - but not all. Not sure about OK.

To be honest, I can't even begin to venture a guess as to what direction they were headed! In my mind, those little girls could be anywhere. :(

If there are certain counties you would like me to check, I would be happy to. Meanwhile, I'll check for clearinghouses in the surrounding states.

All I can find clearinghouse-wise is UTX (not really OK... but they have entered most of OK's remains in so I guess they are serving as both?) and the Doe network; but I know most of these counties have records, even if they are not online.
I will do some digging and see what we can find...

I do think they are north- if only because people tend to head back to familiar territory when stressed.

I have sent messages to all of them, I also searched out OK. posters and sent to them as well. Thirty people in all. Just asking if they would consider checking out the thread and a link to it. Hope that helps us get more posters.

Hi RubyRed, I'm checking in to see what I might do to help.

Are there any photos of the trailer and yard? Did the trailer burn to the ground? Oriah, are you perhaps relation to the girls? TIA
