Still laughing. It's either laugh or cry here in Okla. But they did
I mean, they left a body at an unsecured crime scene.
That's not just a little oopsie.

I grew up in Vinita, and everyone knows one another here. I also worked for the Tulsa Office of the Chief Medical Examiner from '06 to '08. I worked closely with Dr. R. Distefano and had some discussions about the case. Any info on the area or the parties involved or even ME reports I may be able to help with. Any questions are welcome.
hi, Was the trailer in a secluded area where you had to know where you were going to get to the Freemans trailer or was it visible from the road?
thanks
My understanding is that the home was in a secluded location, but visible from the road. But the road was pretty secluded also. Whether or not you would have to know where you're going? Not sure. But I would think you'd either know the area- or be driving around aimlessly and fall upon it. Helpful, huh?
Maybe a local could address that better- especially someone who was local during that time frame? Locals, help!
I would love to know the exact location of where this happened... It's between Welch (and Blue Jacket) and Vinita... and it's along Oklahoma Highway 10... and it's along a creek...
I'm close enough to drive out there... If you have exacts, I'd love to go out there!
M86, do you know Rt 2 well?
It goes north out of Vinita towards Welch to the Kansas border... I've never traveled it though.
I was coming back from a trip this weekend and we drove past the area. Can't help but think of those young lives lost.

I don't know the exact location of the trailer, but I have some friends who live the area. I'll try to ask around and see what some of them may know.
Has there been any breakthroughs on the ground search that Oriah was conducting? Does everyone feel that the girls are deceased and lie someone in the vicinity of where the trailer was?
No breakthroughs. But it's hard to go far in OK without finding remains- becomes a question then of tracking down ME's or coronors with the resources and desire to ID them. Namus is wonderful but completely bogged down. Partial remains could be sitting in a ME's lab for years, unidentified.
Very frustrating for family and loved ones, especially in this sort of case where the girls are presumed victims, and possibly not far from the crime scene.![]()
